Where did the concept of Ravana come from with the Gnath?

I thought I'd ask this because I'm genuinely curious about him. He's the complete opposite looking to the more infiltry looking Gnath and is far more aggressive comparably, too.

Could Ravana have been based off of an Allagan construct of some sort, like how Garuda was and like thr Ixali, the Gnath simply mistook Ravana for a god? Or could Ravana simply be like Ifrit and Titan: some sort of god/protector they conjured up in their minds over the generations until it became a cult-like part of their religion?

His exact origin isn't detailed, but Ravana was summoned as a "general to help us conquer more territory" by the Gnath.

My terrible headcanon is that the "general with a carapace like steel and blades of moonlight" is just a warped cultural memory conflating the Gnathic leader of an escape from Azys Lla and the Phantom Ray.

Encyclopedia Eorzea just implies that Ravana is the gnath ideal of the perfect warrior-god, but states that the Onemind's inherent hostility makes interviews rather difficult.
