Viera didn't have half the buzz male Viera has currently right before it was announced, and the playerbase wasn't asking for dressers specifically, just "more glamour".

With that logic, you can claim anything they introduce was introduced because people were crying about it.

If Miqo'te can wear head gear why can't Viera too?
It's really nasty to change the race and not be able to wear all the head glamours you bought or farmed really hard for.
Just make it look like they ears are floppy when they wear head gear, or don't show them at all. I know people will come and say if they don't have the bunny ears then that's not a Viera at all, but it should be people's choice whether they want to show them or not to be honest. As a glamour addict Viera is the only race that pleases to me and not being able to fully wear my glamour sets really upsets me .
I don't know if anyone will relate to me but I still thought it worth sharing this.

If it bothers you a lot in the meantime while waiting for official means of using head gear. They do have mods that allow the use of headgear. The clipping is minimal but it is something. Just do not go talking about it in game and you should be fine.

I don't think that one is as accurate as others anyway, but generally you want to refer to the 'active characters', not all characters ever made. The total characters created in the game also includes the gajillion midlander hyur bots trying to sell gil in starting cities.

According to the active characters bar graph there, Viera are the 5th highest race/gender combo, out of 14. I can't imagine that means the other 9 behind them are even further below 1%. I'm probably the worst person at math in the world, but I don't think that adds up.

Fair, though even then, active characters means that you're looking at something that impacts 9% of the player base. And while I agree that this should have been addressed from the start, I also don't support the idea that in the situation we're in right now, that adding more hats should be a priority over making sure that the came can continue to be developed for the remaining 91% of players who aren't viera.

If we weren't still in a global pandemic that pushed back development by several months with the game developers are still adjusting to the new work realities, I wouldn't be so antagonistic. But at this point, we do need to consider what are the bigger priorities, and what additions will benefit the largest number of players.

Mods aren't really always an answer considering that for a sizable number of players, they aren't an option. Console players have zero access to them, so unless the original poster is a console player willing to add the mod to their game, this sadly won't solve things.

2B butt: They only changed it back when they saw the outcry, it's documented, Yoshida even talks about how they're changing it back because of the backlash

Mods aren't really always an answer considering that for a sizable number of players, they aren't an option. Console players have zero access to them, so unless the original poster is a console player willing to add the mod to their game, this sadly won't solve things.

True, but at the very least it is something someone can do depending on if they have the setup and are willing to use them.

Did not mean to imply mods are the end all be all answer but for those willing and able it does provide a temporary solution to their problem with an active result.

Yes and no. The people fitting head gear onto viera and hrothgar would likely be the same people fitting all new armor designs onto character models.

So while it may not say, delay the design of a new boss fight or story cutscene, it would pull those artists away from other things for new pieces of gear coming out, when they're already behind schedule.

I'm all for them adding more viera/hrothgar head pieces when they have the time, but like with them removing sex restrictions on gear, it's something they need to do at their own pace as they have time, because there's always new armor sets coming to work on they have to keep up with too.

It can happen, but it is extremely hard to prove thus the chances of it happening are extremely low. Sure has some risk, but the risk is minimal. Just offering some info, what they do with the info is on them.
