Burmecians average pretty tall. Freya is 6'2".They were tall...in a game with exceptionally stylized characters whose proportions were somewhere between a chibi and realism so it's really hard to say how tall they would be in FFXIV.
Personally I imagine them to be taller than miqos but shorter than viera. About fem highlander height.
(And Zidane Tribal is as tall as Cloud Strife and slightly shorter than Squall Leonhart ...not that this stopped SE from making him little in Dissidia for some reason.)

I actually really like Nu Mou now that we know they kinda exist?
I saw this doing my coffee browsing and it made me wonder...I'd want them to be an actual beast race. Lalafell are just idk--- if they had cat-like noses, fur, tails with fur tufts at the end & rounded, mouse like ears- or other options like little antlers, and deer tails or just something that's the opposite of how a lalafell looks. Lalafells just look so incomplete to me. (as do Hyur's & elezen but that's another conversation.)
How would people feel about a new tribe of Lalafell that was more Tarutaru like? Same model but with short fur, little claws and tufted ears. It's one of the ideas SE came up with doing the Lala concept art and I liked it.

Even though I was actually a little disappointed with the Hrothgar (way too similar to Roegadyn in body, and another cat-race?), I fully agree the next race should probably be something smaller.
Personally, I would love something akin to the Moogles in FF12. Or maybe something sort of like the "Aurin" from WildStar (the two characters in the middle):

you know what? I am just good on races for atleast one expansion. Can we just focus on fixing clipping on the existing races or adding more to the original ones?
Didn't the devs say they were done adding races?

Just watch this part of a interview asking about more customizations and you will see there is still a little possibility of launching a new race![]()

Moogles!!

"Politics are for kings and lords, talk of wealth for merchants, the rest of us should concern ourselves with the health and wellbeing of one another."
YES MOOGLES, but for lore questions, i'd prefer they add the ivalice moogles from fft and ffxii, even with little modificantions and another name like "Ivagle" or "Moolice" or anything else (edit: like they did with Ronzo, that has turned into hrothgar), just to separate then from the normal moogles and make then playable.

Given how bizarrely difficult they've made it to implement new races my vote would be (for now) this...
1) Open up customization options for Viera and Hrothgar. More hairstyles, more hats.
2) Male Viera, Female Hrothgar
3) New subraces added as additional clans to existing races. For example...
Lalafell - Mountainfolk (furred Lalafell with tufted ears evolved for colder climates)
Viera - Feol (run shorter, have shorter ears, pale hair colors)
Au' ra - Gria (males run shorter. Have wings they can unfurl and use in place of flying mount)
Mi'qote - Mithra (already exist in lore as the ancestors of modern Miqo'te. Could be introduced as a clan with more cat-like features that never crossed into Eorzea from the Miqo'te homeland)
Hyur - Garlean (Taller with gem-like "third eyes". Warrior of Light can use magic)
Elezen - Ishgardian (could have muscle sliders and some features from both Wildwood and Duskwight)
Roegadyn - Galka (have more bear-like features. Could also have large tails)
Hrothgar - ??? (IDK, man. Something more lupine?)
