Lost, confused, and stressed out.

I have done everything I can and at this point, I don't know what to do anymore.
I have done every step I have been asked from updating web browsers, downloading everything that has been asked of me, fixing my firewall nonstop, loading codes up and down, my internet has no issues, redownloaded the game repeatedly that has been asked of me but my results are still the same. I have placed ticket after ticket in hopes to even hear from anyone for my plea of help and I have gotten no response.
At this point, I have no ideas left on what to do.
When I first started playing this game a year ago, on the same computer I first played this one I had no issues with anything. I could play any dungeon, quest, or video of the sort and it would play just fine. I quit for a few months due to some financial issues and was able to come back last month. It started with issues with loading the main story quest where my screen wouldn't load and then the whole thing would shut off. Next, I tried to play SigmaScape 4.0 Savage, Which I was able to play just fine the beginning of the month... till the next thing I know it, my crew gets in but I'm stuck in the loading screen. It started to crash during the first phase and then it kicked me off during phase two... now it won't load in general. Thanks to this I have lost my chance at getting the mount I wanted at least 10 times. Needless to say, I was becoming upset. Over the coming weeks, I have sent in reports, tickets, and no responses. Today has been the worst, I can't even get past the loading screen to even play anything. Nothing has changed in the last 18 hours when I was able to play on the fishing quest to go sea fishing but today when I log in I keep getting in the queue and then it shuts off. No warning or "Issues with blah blah blah" codes or anything.
I have my most recent ticket number in hopes if someone can help me.
Please, this is one of few games I can take my stress out of my daily life to relax and I am in desperate need of help with getting this fixed. Please help.

You are at the lowest end of the minimum system requirements for this game at your system memory and graphics device.
It's most likely that the game crashes because of memory leak or override in your system memory.
I would advice that you don't run any other application beside FFXIV or you risk crashing the game on random intervals.
I advise on upgrading your system memory and graphics card, because it may be below the minimum requirements with the next expansion.

Adding to the above response, are you using the DX9/32-bit version? From the main launcher, before you login, click the "Config" gear in the bottom right and make sure "DirectX 11 Support" is disabled. Ideally you should be using that, but with only 4GB of system memory you'd just be asking for trouble so you'll need to use the DX9 version (which is what the game uses if you're not using DX11).

Also you said "shuts off" - as in the whole computer turns off? If that's the case it suggests either a problem with hardware (most likely an ageing power supply failing) or it's simply overheating and the turning off is a thermal shutdown. Running the computer with the side off is usually a quick crude workaround to test for overheating, if you don't know the exact temperatures.

Hopefully this was of some help, but with only 4GB of RAM and Windows itself probably using at least 2GB of that... it doesn't leave much left for everything else like XIV.

When the game crashes, is it the only program running? Just as Legion88 suggested, try running the game by itself. Disable any overlays or background programs. It appears the PC almost does not meet the minimum requirements to run the game. Because of that, can you try running it on the lowest settings?

As others have said, your system is now quite dated.
Add additional RAM if your motherboard can handle it, as 4gb is just at the threshold for Windows to operate efficiently on its' own, but not while also playing a game.
Update your nVidia graphics card drivers, do not rely on Windows Update to keep that driver current, it is almost a year out of date as is. Go to https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx and get the latest for your card.
