Extreme lag today

Playing on gilgamesh have been having really bad packet loss. Playing from suburban chicago, my isp is comcast/xfinity.

Are you connected directly to the router or are you using WiFi? Where in game do yo experience the lag?

Been playing Valorant and fall guys with absolutely no issues today, only XIV that's been giving me issues. Just reset my router as well as my IE setting to no avail unfortunately. Still got a lot of bad ping going on.

Reporting the same experience. Trying Refulgence for two days...unplayable levels of lag. Being reported by multiple people in multiple parties.

I'm on a hard wired connection, been lagging in pretty much every activity. Instances, roulettes, even just hanging out in social areas.

Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

Do you experiencing lag anywhere else? Or only in Final Fantasy XIV? Have you tried resetting the router or changing the internet explorer settings? If not, please attempt the following:

Open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
- Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
- Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
- Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
- Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
- Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
- Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.

Reporting similar extreme lag over on Balmung - Crystal. Was fine for a while after I first logged in around 5pm EST, then halfway through Engels in the Copied Factory, I started lagging super badly and it continued on into the last boss. Logged out, reset my router, was fine for a Trial/Normal/Alliance roulette, then as soon as I queue'd Expert maybe an hour later, it started up bad again.

Least I'm not the only person suffering lag today, I suppose. Was starting to wonder if I just had a crap connection today.

Having issues on Gilgamesh as well. Was fine logging on around 3. Has been nearly unplayable since.

Reporting similar lag spikes on Faerie. Connection was running fine from 2 - about 4 still started lagging like crazy.
