    THM/BLM Umbral Ice/Astral Fire.

    Hi!
    So I was wondering if anyone had any good answers or thought on how exactly the whole mechanic of Umbral Ice and Astral Fire works in lore? Is it temporarily attuning oneself to the element?

    Correct! The caster is using aetherial manipulation techniques to incline the balance of their mind and spirit towards astral/umbral energies.

    It's a subtle contribution from the old-school THM lore before jobs existed.
