Glamour System suggestion

Hello all,

I am new to the forums, but had this idea spark something in me enough to venture to this side of FFXIV. I have been playing for over 6 years, I love the game and all the improvements we have seen in the many years. One improvement that hasn\\\\'t come yet, that I think might make, "The real END GAME" more fun than it already is.... to create a system for glamours that doesn\\\\'t attach itself to the individual pieces of gear itself. However, a glamour System that attaches itself to the individual class.

I don\\\\'t wanna take away our current way of glamour, as it\\\\'s ok as it is. However, with the encouragement of playing so many different jobs/classes, we tend to reuse equipment with jobs that are similar and are of the same level. For example, a Summoner lvl 80 and a Black Mage lvl 80, would use the exact same armor except the weapon. With the system that I am suggesting, you could register a glamour that looks completely different for each of the two jobs, while retaining the same gear, and without having to constantly using the glamour plates and glamour prisms to change. It would be easier and afford an improvement in QoL. It would be then easier to utilize all the amazing artifact gear that SE makes for each job, without having to pick only one look. This can be not only for artifact gear, but apply to any look really. In the same context, you can have a dark and broody look for your BLM, while have a light and free look for your SMN, while not changing the gear, but still looking completely different.

I think this would be a fun spice to our lives and allow us all to appreciate the many clothing that SE has made for the world.

omg yes please! specially with for example healer jobs.. each one has a unique look (SCH nerdy, AST fortune teller/gypsy, WHM angelic/nun look) but noooo I have to choose one for all 3 cuz they share gear :'(

You can do this already by linking a glamour plate to a Jobset and it will automatically be applied when changing to that job. Just apply one glamour plate to your SMN and one to your BLM that look differently and change jobs in a major city.

...I believe this is the main problem for a lot of players and why they most often choose to run glamour per role. Previously you couldn't even access the Glamour Plates in the Gold Saucer (genuinely "what") and you still can't at the Wolves' Den Pier for instance, but for people doing Eureka / (soon) Bozja and being around in the overworld (god forbid you haven't finished up to Lv80 yet) it looks rather dumb.

While I can see the plea for more glamour dresser slots and more plates, eventually a group will always say "not enough" while working on functionality for allowing Glamour Plates outside of major cities will please pretty much permanently. That is, if they resolved the things regarding loading character data in such zones being less taxing for load times.

Wish we just had the Wardrobe system in GW2, that is one of the best examples how to do a fashion system. Not having to stuff your inventory full of items you might wanna glam, just unlock it once and done, i know the coding is not the best in FFXIV but you can't tell me they can't jsut copy the skin as code like trying it on or turning it into glam in the dresser in the first place.
