Does the "Before Meteor" soundtrack in the store still include the wind-up dalamud?

I really want that minion and I see that the "Before Meteor" soundtrack is still purchasable on the Square Enix store. It is listed as "Japanese import soundtrack disc".

My only fear is that the page in the Square Enix store doesn't mention the code for the minion at all. It's not listed in the description, features, etc.

Has anyone recently purchased this soundtrack and can you confirm that it comes with the minion?

That's so upsetting Other relatively old OSTs still have item codes so I was hoping this one was similar

There seems to be a misunderstanding. The OST you mentioned indeed does include the code for that minion BUT - you cannot redeem because all codes are way past their expiration date. So even if you buy it you wont get the minion at least.

We've had quite a similar problem in the past. I visited Gamescom a few years ago and I bought that mail mogry plush along with that ingame minion. Sadly forgot to redeem the code right on time and can't get it anymore now. I dont know how Square Enix is dealing with that these days - maybe that extra stuff can be traded in now without any expiration date.

In my opinion, it would be great if SE could put the old stuff in their shop now for everyone to get. After all, the Fan Festival minions were added after quite some time as well and were only exclusive to attendees for a few months / a year.

OP, it's a long shot, but if you do get it, and the item code does NOT work, you can try emailing FFXIV SE Support and asking for a code. If they will do it, they'll ask for proof of purchase. I bought a latter print of one of the OSTs that did not include an item key at all on the sleeve case thing. I emailed them and they gave me a code. It was for the Spoony Bard minion, forget which OST that was offhand.

Before Meteor 1.0 OST is far too old at this point. I doubt you will be able to find a copy that has a code attached anymore.

No. I began buying the FF14 blu-ray soundtrack albums via Amazon a couple months back, just finished the 5.0 Shadowbringers album today. When you open the plastic packaging, there is a piece of cardboard wrapped around the corner of the case. The cardboard for the first four albums (1.0 Before Meteor, 2.0 A Realm Reborn, 2.5 Before the Fall, and 3.0 Heavensward) does not have any numeric codes on them. It's just Japanese text. Starting with the 3.55 Far Edge of Fate album, the cardboard slip does have numeric codes that you can enter onto mogstation to redeem the minions.

I have heard on reddit that some people who had older blu-rays that had the numeric codes printed on their carboard slips were able to redeem the minions after the "expiration date", but my guess that the likelihood of you being able to obtain codes printed from that long ago are very low.
