    Requesting a small change to Haukke Manor (Normal)

    Hello

    This ain't much of a problem to most people, but its to help new players running this dungeon for the first time. I'm a bit surprised that nothing's been added to help address this.

    Like many of you know, the 2nd boss of the dungeon is in this basement, which after defeating, we cast /return so that we can get to the 3rd boss quicker. However most of us have encountered players who are oblivious to this, not knowing they can return to the start with the spell.

    The solution to this is to add a teleporter in the 2nd boss room itself, eliminating the need for /return in this dungeon. This helps streamline the dungeon and doesn't require a revamp of the dungeon - it'll still be done just like normal.

    This eliminates the need for sprouts to figure out how to /return to the start and explaining how to use it, and in case of the sprout ignoring the party, eliminates the need of the sprout taking the long way back. This will save time for everyone (even the sprout!) and sprouts can easily learn a dungeon teleporter does because people will interact with it and glowing things naturally attract players.

    Thanks for reading my arguably medicore suggestion to streamline Haukke Manor.

    That's not a bad idea.
    I know when I first ran it, it was somehow with a bunch of people doing it for the first time.
    That duty thus far had been "get key and use on nearby door" but at the basement it seemed like one big dead end.
    A teleporter (like the ones in Halatali) would be very useful.

    I was super confused my first time but someone told me to teleport out. Whenever I see that greyed out name, I'll tell them. Because I have not once seen people actually run back. Much less take the stairs down in the first place.

    I don't think they need to put resources towards it, honestly. It's a small smack of adversity that helps teach newbies new things, usually. Like that you can use Return in dungeons to go back to the start. Also, nowadays with the teleport instantly to sealed off area patch, if you just start the boss battle, they'll get the prompt to teleport straight to Lady Amandine.

    Ah, yes, I remember I was troubled as well. It's kinda irritating for new players. When they told me to teleport back, I was all "Hu? Are we already done yet? Won't this put me out of the dungeon and port me back to Limsa (where my return point was)?" I mean, there are RPGs/MMOs with dungeons you can't complete on the first run and need to come back later. Maybe I had to go out and do another quest or something like that. I wasn't sure whats going on and what's going to happen.

    Haukke (Hard) even has the existing crystal-ball teleporters. All they need to do is put one in the cellar.

    Right now it's a weird learning moment you always have to explain, never use again after, and occasionally get a player for whom no amount of instructions or charades will make them understand.

    I guess it teaches you that you can use Return like that, which is useful.

    once upon a time they use to have return to start button on the mini map when you were in a dungeon lol.

    My first time we ran all the way back, and ran into trash we didn’t pick up the first time around. It was fun felt like a dungeon and not a linear path

    Buuut yea I agree a teleport should’ve been added in its stead, Aurum Vale got nerfed so maybe in the future?
