Those mini games that are the same thing every year are becoming a big blur, the valentione one specially I'm tired of them haha.
If they can't make new mini games just give everything after the story

Well, on the plus side, maybe I can use some of my 7.5 million MGP now.

I'm super bummed, All Saint's is my fave in-game event! I totally understand why, though, and I'm not upset at the reasoning. I'm hopeful they can at least turn the decorations on for awhile, cause they're really cute, even if they can't do much else.

It would be nice if the Haukke Manor games and disguises could still be included with the Make It Rain event. Those are already programmed so there would be no work that needs to be done. Just have them unlock by default when the event begins instead of requiring a quest.

This might actually be a good time to turn the Haukke Manor game into a proper Gate actually now that you mention it. The original Gold Saucer in FF7 had a Haunted Hotel, they could use it as an homage to that or just straight up use it to also give us an inn-room at the Saucer. It would be nice if the Haukke Manor games and disguises could still be included with the Make It Rain event. Actually looking at the Adventurer's Appreciation Campaign, I think that can be comparable to the Mogtome event (since it just grants players bonuses for this and that). So in a way, that makes FFXI and XIV equal when it comes to events.
FFXI's non-real life based events
Blazing Buffalo's
Summerfest
Feast of Swords
Adventurer's Appreciation
FFXIV's non-real life based events:
The Rising
Moonfire Faire
Make it Rain
Mogtome Event

Moonfire Fair has a spring break/summer beach party vibe for me. I'd give it half credit.Actually looking at the Adventurer's Appreciation Campaign, I think that can be comparable to the Mogtome event (since it just grants players bonuses for this and that). I don't think the Mogtome event (Moogle treasure trove) is meant to be something that's happening in world. It feels more like a promotional event like when mmos have bonus events (extra EXP, extra curency). If there is any lore behind it I'd like to know.

Isn't the Moonfire Faire based on the Japanese summer fireworks festivals?Actually looking at the Adventurer's Appreciation Campaign, I think that can be comparable to the Mogtome event (since it just grants players bonuses for this and that). And The Rising is based on the anniversary of the successful relaunch of the 2.0 game, so while not a real-world holiday, is is commemorating a real world event.
So you're saying that a Japanese MMO produced by a Japanese company made a summer event with Japanese-themed aesthetics to be enjoyed by players worldwide, is based on an American holiday?
...Alright.
