Wasn't that the haunted inn? I would love to see that! It should be functioning inn, but it could also be an interactive haunted house you can wander around for fun.

Kind of bummed that we're only getting the haunted Manor. Hopefully next All saints Wake will be a blast and not have to be skipped. Though it will be sort of fun to see a member of the circus at the Gold Saucer as Make it Rain tends to be one of the few times npcs you normally don't see at the saucer be there trying out the games. It's nice to know that occasionally they're allowed to take a break from their important jobs. Unless you're Hinorit then sadly your job of making sure the youngest Fortemps son isn't constantly shirking his responsibilities is never ending.

I didn't see any "halloween planned rewards", did I miss something? The haunted house has a single imp in it, that will cast a glamour on you, but you can't leave the house without removing the glamour. Meh.As I've seen here, it seems its confirmed Halloween's event will be canceled, and instead we will get the Gold Saucer one with some of the Halloween planned rewards.
I was looking forward to getting some Halloween glams, but I cant seem to find any.

They never promised us Halloween rewards. As far as I've seen, people took a "we are considering" statement months ago as confirmation, and since then "everyone knows" that the Halloween rewards will be added to Make It Rain.
All they ever told us to expect was a return of the Haunted Manor masquerade, and we have that.

I am disappointed at the lack of spoopy rewards this year. But I imagine the FFXIV team can only handle so much considering how this year's been going.

That's a pity. I was raised in The States and Halloween was something really special there though it by no means originated there unless you count the Irish who brought it over when they immigrated. Dressing up each year and going from spooky house to house trick-or-treating are some of my fondest childhood memories. Unfortunately, my daughter was kinda robbed of that experience since we decided to raise her in Europe, and that's something I lament, but I would say that celebrating here in Scandinavia wasn't celebrated to the same extent until very recently. I'm seeing more and more houses being decorated and dressed up children and it's just really sweet. As for FFXIV and Japan, Halloween has been a thing for them for a good while now so the lack of an event this year just doesn't have anything to do with its origins.I think it's something of a perception here in Australia that Halloween was imported from the US because it wasn't commonly celebrated (to my awareness) until we saw it in American media and said "hey, that looks fun, why can't we do it too?"
It wasn't a thing at all for me growing up, but I think we're hitting the point where the generation of kids that wanted it to be a thing are now the adults decorating houses and organising trick-or-treating.
