All Saints' Wake 2020

As I've seen here, it seems its confirmed Halloween's event will be canceled, and instead we will get the Gold Saucer one with some of the Halloween planned rewards.

I confess I'm sad for this. I love Halloween and thus, I love All Saints' Wake: the music, the cities' decoration, the Continental Circus and its Haunted Manor...

I don't know if FFXIV developers have already designed the GS 2020 event, but I would suggest: ¿How about fusing both events instead of just cancelling All Saints' Wake? Maybe a quest with the Continental Circus more focused in the Gold Saucer instead on Gridania, it would give both events something new in the quest story.

I think I would love that: Halloween in the Gold Saucer.

I like the Idea, but I'm betting the content is already decided, maybe finished.

To me it would make sense to have a proper All Saints Wake event and just turn on MGP buff during that. Your idea of an All Saints' Wake themed Gold Saucer event would be a good way to introduce the Haunted Inn (Ghost Square, like VII) to the Manderville Gold Saucer as some people would like.

It would be pretty fun to see them try and make the gold saucer look spooky, but that also sounds like a LOT of work.
I could see Godbert going for it, but if the devs don't have time to get the normal event together they probably don't have time for that kind of workload either.

Only adding the Halloween rewards to the Gold Saucer without any thematic connection is... meh, but better than not getting anything at all.

I'm just sad the infamous transformation into a NPC will be absent this year. Has always been one of the highlights for the community.

Might want to reconsider this. I am not seeing any all saints' wake items at the gold saucer.

They sure have added a lot to the mog station lately. I know they need to make additional income due to the pandemic, but, feeling a little shafted.

Microtransactions are always the last thing to get cut backs.

There might not even be a Halloween. Doctors could claim getting candy from the whole neighborhood could aggravate the pandemic.

I'd much rather see events get cancelled than see the patch windows further extended or half-arsed contents come out.

Dont get me wrong, its sad that we wont see much of All Saint's Wake this year, but better that than the whole patch or a half hearted attempt at an event.

This genuinely actually has me big sad.

This was one of the few events I was really looking forward to this year. I hadn't been lucky enough to participate in the last one and literally EVERYONE I talk to keeps mentioning how much fun this event was. So definitely not happy with the decision to cancel. Here's hoping for a come back next year perhaps.
