What if the Devs added another "Clan" for each Race?

I'd honestly would rather them flesh out the already existing clans than try to wedge some new thing into the system (in a lot of cases where there is no room).

Plus, they already have two races they need to finish up to the standard of every other race.

(Also I think the game's story would have to bend over backwards to allow a garlean warrior of light atm. We'll see how things develop)

But seriously, I'm all for a new clan for the race. More customisation is always welcome. I'd personally like to see more visual differences between clans, akin to hour's midlander and highlander. Perhaps for Lalafell the 3rd clan could be of stocker build, being similar to how dwarves are shown in other games? I don't know. Just more customisation please!

Garleans are their own race though - Thats why they have the third eye on their foreheads. Any Hyuran soliders you see are conscripts from conquered territories so it would make no sense for a clan to be "Garlean"

Otherwise...No, i would not want to see another clan being added. Why? Because the character creation is already so limited as it is, and i would wish to see them expand upon the current system before adding just another clan that would amount to little more than a slight colour variant, not to mention the lore implications.

Interesting point on the Garleans. I'd always assumed they were just kind of a "pureblood/special breed of Hyur", but I suppose even Gosetsu appears human to me, even though he's Roegadyn. I suppose in a way, most of the races are all "kind of human" (save for Hrothgar now), so it's a tricky line to tow.

An alternative Hyur clan might be to retroactively add a "Doman" clan? Maybe they're a touch taller than Midlanders and more lean (while still generally slender)? I was definitely surprised when I arrived, and all of the Hyur basically looked and spoke the same as Hyur from Eorzea. I could see giving them sharper, more "serious-looking" features, that might make kind of a cool new tribe.

Either that, or maybe use it as an opportunity to introduce a a totally new region, maybe with more Middle-Eastern or African features? Taller than Midlanders, more slender than Highlanders?
