Ok, seriously.... It's been like this since as long as I can remember. We play fine until you patch or implement an update to the game, and then a select few are screwed out of playing the game due to repeat disconnects. It's not our network or firewall settings. You should actually worry about your connectivity to your customers, before you worry about the game itself. I know I'm just going to get the "Contact SE support" spiel, but seriously.. Just fix your servers. We pay for your game with our own money, and now you deny us both service and support when obviously a majority of your customers are experiencing the same issue. If we can all connect to other games online with absolutely no issue, including your own FFXI, regardless if our connection be wired or wireless, then why can't we connect perfectly to FFXIV? Are you really that naive to think that it's our settings? or is it just your way of showing how much you care for your loyal fans? I've supported Square-Enix, since it was Squaresoft, and I have to say, the last 6-8 years of paying for your products have really been an utter disappointment. This game alone has been enough to turn any loyal SE fan away. Even though it is getting better, what use is it if we can't actually connect to experience it? Worry about the network side and actually solve it instead of serving us copy pasta.

To everyone else that is having this issue as well, we have to keep speaking up. There's only so much they can take before they say, "Oh hey, maybe there's an issue".

I couldnt agree with this post more. As a dedicated Final Fantasy fan I am always willing to give SE a chance. I have contacted them multiple times and they tell me they have sent to information to japan and they are investigating the issue. They also told me people arent having this issue and it has to do with my connection even though my roomate plays the game in the next room.,? I havent been able to play for four days now and it really is becoming a nightmare I hope my character isnt gone forever, if so then I think me and FF are done.

Yeah, LS mates, myself and my sister all would get the blue box dc at the same time and other LS mates would be just fine. I've also got an issue of copying my macro + config files (made after merge again since they were gone and didn't think SE would be fixing it) into the latest folder and my macro's work great but even without dcing (I think I just change jobs) and my macro's disappear and get replaced with the ones before merge. If I'm doing it wrong, let me know lol

I'm having terrible D/C problems that I never had before this patch/server merge. It's starting to really frustrate me. D: Seriously, it's not my internet connection. I'll be on Mumble with my friends, don't get kicked from there, only the game.

I know this one will eventually get that spiel too.

But what really gets me fired up, is that we are playing fine one day, possibly for hours at a time. Then the next day we go to play it's constant disconnects, even though we've made no changes what so ever to our routers or internet connection setups, and they have the nerve to give us this "Script" blaming us for our internet connection.

I worked in a call centre for a year and who knows maybe that's all they are allowed to post, is that script. Trust me, I've been there, but if we keep raising awareness, then that's the only way they'll actually work on the issue. There's no need to be paying money for service that doesn't work 50% of the time, that's all I'm saying. I just hope they finally realize that people are being penalized for their "lack of action".
