Werlyt is now an Garlean Province and has been for a long time(?) but where in Isalbard would it be, approximately?
Trying to piece together how close to Othard we're talking,
north of Dalmasca?
is it mentioned at all?

Considering how fast Ruby Weapon andtravel to and from the city, Werlyt is probably in western Ilsabard, near the Ghimlyt Dark and the border of Aldenard. After typing that out and seeing how close the names "Ghimlyt" and "Werlyt" are, it makes even more sense.Gaius' adopted kids
That would mean it's nowhere near Othard at all. Which is a bit odd, considering the au ra children from there. But the au ra we know of there don't have traditional au ra names. I guess we'll find out more about them and Werlyt in the coming patches.

Au Ra are believed to be native to Othard with the Azim Steppe being viewed as the ancestral homeland for both clans.
It seems reasonable to assume that they spread from there in all directions (Though it was mostly the Raen who decided to seek greener pastures), including westward into Ilsabard where they eventually ended up adopting the names and cultural customs of the people in that region, much as they did when they moved east.
