PC Launcher script error

In case anyone else has this issue:

My computer had crashed and I was getting this error when launching the PC version of the game:

An error has occurred on this page

Char: 1
Error: Invalid character
Code: 0
URL: https://launcher.finalfantasyxiv.com...35ba.bundle.js

I tried everything there but it didn't work. What worked was to open Internet Explorer 11 and I made it my default browser and then I went to Internet Options -> Reset Internet Explorer Settings -> Reset.

Once I restarted my computer the launcher started working again. Hopefully this helps someone else having this issue.
