quick macro question

so I am trying to save space on my cross hot bar by combining 2 skills with the same recast timers and treating them like one buff.
so I got the skills in question , cool down and icon. but how do I make it target a party member with <t> while still having the option to default to <me> when no one is selected?
is that a thing?

Macro's do not interact with the games queueing system and are really bad outside of specific circumstances like mouseovers and ground targetting. You should avoid macroing skills unless you absolutely cannot cast them without needing them otherwise your performace will suffer

Use additional hotbars, do not combine skills with macros.
Macros were made to be poor in battle intentionally by the developers.

Things like buffs and such can just fail at executing and you'll just wind up in more trouble than you were.

A few buffs is still too many, the macros will be inconsistent and will bleed damage constantly by their very nature.

Ground targetting is the exception because pressing a ground target macro like "Salted Earth" <t> will make the ground aoe auto be placed on top of the thing you are targetting, which is often quicker than having to use the targetting ring for these skills.

I will keep that in mind for ninja teleport. It is award on ps4 controller

Take cure macro in example:
/ac cure <t> or /ac cure , they work the same.
if you don't target any ally, it will cast cure to you by default anyway.
On controller its easy to cancel target then cast.

Also, if you want to try pile up buff or debuff, put them in a customized order to alternate by gcd and ogcd, in some classes works great!

You know that with expanded hold control options you can have quick access to 5 hotbars? those are 40 actions.

lol yeah im trying to keep my common skills on 2 bars to avoid getting confused in a heated fight
but don't we have 8 bars total ? what is " expanded hold control"?
