    PS4 back button thoughts?

I have been debating getting into savage content, but I play Monk as my DPS of choice. Now that being said I find it cumbersome at times to play with a PS4 controller, but I don't want to play on mouse and keyboard since that sounds really busy with monk.

Would getting the PS4 controller back button accessory help with oGCD skills? Thinking shoulder tackle for 1 paddle, and forbidden on the other paddle.

Just trying to put the knee jerk reaction time into using my oGCD's.

Also, would like to use this for Paladin Sheltron and intervention just to keep the oath spenders categorized for quick usage. Sheltron is always right paddle for 4 man or MT. Intervention is left paddle for OT, but I feel that handcuffs one of the buttons to be used only when i'm doing OT things. I wouldn't use sheltron if i'm off tank vice versa. IDK.

I would like your thoughts or strategies the community uses. Let me know!

You still would have to place the skills on the cross hotbar to use them, switch to the correct one and press L2 / R2 to highlight the skills. The back buttons are only useful to use the skills placed on the D-Pad while you move your character with the left thumbstick at the same time.

Or to toggle L2 / R2 with the middle finger, what I have used when I have hurt my index finger.

So it's not like using a multi button mouse then? That was the intent to use 2 extra buttons to have them linked to specific hot keys or macros.

As far as I know you can set up keybinds for a hotbar set, but I wouldn't know if I can have the button set to a specific hotkey.

There's got to be a away right? Am I missing something?

The back buttons are not really additional buttons, you can only bind existing buttons onto them. Like the directions of the D-Pad, square, cross, cirlce, triangle or the shoulder buttons.

Their intended use is to be able to move with the thumbsticks while you can press the buttons on the right or the D-Pad at the same time.

Are you currently using expanded hotbars? PS4 players can enable expanded cross hotbars to have easy access to 32 buttons in total, (if you only use 1 of the options), and 48 if you use both. I usually just use the double tap WXHB with directional buttons enabled for the 32, then use cross hbar filtering to only cycle between hotbars 1 and 3 while my weapon is drawn (the double tap accesses hotbar 2)

Yes I currently use expanded. And an alternate R1 hotbar for some role actions. It's fast and simple, but I would like to take L1 and R3 and bind them to the back buttons with the attachment. This I could bind macros or hotbar# to these back buttons after bound.
i.e. I could use this with gap closer or other 1 off skills like Circle of Scorn. Really limitless as far as just using skills without having to pull a trigger + button press.

I just really need like 2 more buttons to make playing on PS4 controller super smooth and less cycleing through hotbars. If I can bind those buttons to buttons that aren't really used all that much i.e. L1 (autorun) and R3 (FPS mode). Then that should allow me to bind them to macros or a hotbar.

Yes but they can be bound to L1 and R3 which rarely get used. I can bind autorun to L3 honestly. I don't care about FPS mode enough to devote a whole button to it. Whichever works I suppose
