Seriously. Why can't we buy individual pieces?

People sometimes throw around the "no one would ever buy sets any more if people could choose just the pieces they want", but how is that a bad thing? SE isn't losing $12 because I bought only the $6 shoes instead of the $18 set. They making $6 because I would never have bought the full set in the first place.

Same. There are a lot of things I'd get sucked into buying if I could get just the one piece I wanted - boots especially. I can't justify buying the Mheg Deaca robe just for the boots and circlet, and it feels like a waste to buy something (even a virtual something) that won't be used, but put those two items up there on their own and I may well get tempted into buying them for multiple characters.

With all the negative reactions SE already gets for having a store, if they sell individual pieces, they'd be accused of "nickel-and-dime"-ing. If people don't want to buy a full set, then SE will just take that loss. There will be others who will.

don't tell nobody, but right now you can get upgrades for collectors edition discounted too, you can get Heavensward collector's which includes one Fantasia for the cost of one Fantasia

I dunno. Maybe it's just me, but even with the 30% off I still think some of these items are too expensive for what they are. When I heard there was a big sale I was excited to finally pick up some of the Far Eastern outfits but, yeah, no thanks at only 30% off.

Was also hoping the Spriggan mount was going to be on sale but didn't think it would be since it's still fairly new. And, nope, not on sale.

I don't like to alter my characters but if I do, it's early on once I've seen them in action and need to make tweaks.

And IIRC that pack includes the griffin mount too? Tempting...

I agree, but (outside of this current sale on collector editions) I don't think I've ever seen them run a sale for anything other than 30% off.

And yeah, the most recent items never get included in a store-wide sale.

This is literally all I want. I have multiple characters so even on sale, $13(with tax) x 6 adds up. Now if it were $5 x 6 then absolutely. I love giving SE my money but I hesitate when it reaches too realistic of a price. $13 for a pair of virtual shoes that may not even work with my glam because I can't try them on? Or.... $13 on an assortment of house shoes irl. That is what I mean.
