


Real world physics and physical limitations have no place in this game.l i think add addiction pose for male and female would be nice yet we need remember how the human body strength divide in male and female and how they going hold weapon depend on that body strength look i remember when dev use design for gaming they use live models sometime for gaming design and character design aswell
this may be demand that is never able to be meet by the dev or any devs on planets because the human body between the sex are different as alway will be different
There is nobody in the world who can wield 6 feet of foot wide metal like the darknight does. You would simply rip your tendons and break your wrists trying to stop the momentum.

I'm all for opening all poses to all characters. A character's personality/traits should be up to the player.
FF14 doesn't try very hard to be life like. The jump animation has you jump more than your own height on most characters. Then he's making excuses. People have tried to make real "buster swords" before and using them is laughable. The buster sword can actually be made in real life, it just depends on what kind of metals you use to make it.



Even when made out of aluminum (which is a horrible idea for something with an edge) or a composite, it's crazy heavy. Making it isn't the problem, USING it for anything approaching combat is a joke. The closest you're going to find are "horse swords" most famously the "Zanbato". used to de-horse cavalry, which were basically just swung in a huge arc to take out the horses legs and then discarded once the soldier was on the ground.

I'm just gonna be real simple about this and say I support this.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.


Yoshida continually tries to defend mechanics / (lack of) player customization with lore when it suits his purposes.. but has no issue with characters running around in bikini mogs and giant chocobo heads; And don't get me wrong, i have no issue with people's wildly lore unfriendly combat attire, but it makes Yoshida's reasoning paper thin when both things exist.Yoshida actually points this out, how he makes heavy weapon jobs hold the weapons in specific ways because of how much they weigh and other things like poses. If he just said that "We think X pose works for Y weapon to fit the look of Z job", i think it'd be a lot closer to an honest answer rather than trying to spin it into some big thoughtful process to impress the interviewer.

I have little hope that this will ever change, only because so many threads have already asked for it, but I would also like it. I much prefer the female DRK pose, as well as the SAM one (who holds a sword like the male pose anyway). And it doesn't just go one way, I've read a lot of people wanting the male DRK, DRG, etc. poses on female characters. It seems people are pretty equally unhappy on both sides.
I also don't know why there's currently only one pose for each job and gender anyway. There's a bunch of different idle poses for each, but only one for weapons. Kind of plain, honestly. It was nice when they added cpose because we all stopped standing around like statues, but we all look the same with our weapons out outside of combat, and that sucks.
