Lack of updates on Viera and Hrothgar.

Hrothgar really butchered everything. If it wasn't for that fatal decision to lock Hrothgar's hair to face we would already have gotten new hairstyles for both races. Let's hope they're finally unlocking the hair from face so that going forth both male Hrothgar and female Viera can get new hairstyles regularly.

In the end this is a problem of their own making, Yoshida wanted an animal race so badly that he shoehorned it in before even considering Viera.

That's still two years of no upate for these races, unfortunately. I'd be happy to get something but still a bit salty. It's my own fault too cause I have my hopes up before each patch and then I'm disappointed :P.

There are plenty of NPCs with custom faces we can't recreate in the character creator.

They did already reduced the dungeons to one instead of 2.


Now there is also Corona and even the new updates themselves have been delayed (without new Viera and hrothgar stuff).


Pretty sure the furries are very low priority on their list + now with covid too. Wouldn't surprise me we'll get the new expansion (in about a year) and still no new things on them.

Normally these NPCs have lines and are characters important to a story, they's not normally just randomly walking around.

I mean, it's smart to be skeptical ... but the devs have legit said that Hrothgar are getting new faces and manes and that Viera are getting new hair and now we see Hrothgar with face/ mane options that have not been seen in game before. I mean ... seems legit.

i will be ok if yoshida said it clearly (no) you won't be getting anything new . but this wait is absurd !
at least give us a date i don't mind if it's a year or two from now but at least i won't wait every live letter or patch for any news about these races .

I agree! An ETA would be amazing as far as the hrothgar & viera updates.
I'd also like to see Hilda's Ponytail be released to the playerbase- but it's too nice of a hairstyle, which means it wont happen lol

They released two limited races and two (weapon glamour-wise) limited jobs.
So far development time's been spent on issues I wager SE feels are more important, like adding stickers to gpose...

It took how long for GNB/DNC to even get a shinryu weapon? That's what, 1 of how many SB trial weapons? Not to even include the other lacking options that'd be level relevant, i.e. they gave DNC/GNB sunburst weapons from Diadem (which they nixxed to retool for IshResto), but not anything from the Alexander raid series...

My expectations are either next expac or not at all.
