SE's Response(or lack there of) to PVP related incidents.

It is common knowledge amongst those who play PVP, specifically ranked Feast, that reports for in-game PVP related incidents seemingly go unnoticed or unattended. In the past, most incidents were either win-traders, people boosting others accounts, and the occasional hacking and exploitation of the game via speed hacking, PVE sprint in game, going to unreachable areas, etc. Now, we have a new item to add to the list with the assistance of third party tools to script actions in a match allowing for instantaneous responses during a match(like insta cancelling LB's).

With Season 20 confirmed, and the potential of more seasons afterwards, not to mention the new PVP game mode to come next expansion, issues like this will most likely continue and evolve while the response from SE has not. The last update we received was our own little line item for reporting PVP specific related incidents four years ago. Yet season after season, year after year, so many absolutely apparent actions of the above go completely ignored. The most common and depressing notion when it comes to this is people asking "Can't we just report it?" and the usual response is "It doesn't matter, SE does nothing."

People make forum posts, twitter posts, and daily in-game reports to SE to include videos, pictures, and any sort of evidence to show without a shred of doubt, infractions that violate the ToS set by SE and yet, nothing happens. Entire data centers locked in a chokehold due to the rampant amount of in-game infractions, further driving people away from an already small game-mode.

As much as I am excited for the new PVP game-mode, I cannot help but also feel disheartened to the fact that the above will continue to happen and again go unanswered.

I ask this of SE and the devs: What more do you need from us? We feel so helpless in the face of it all because your actions or lack there of only go to show us the perception that you care far less than even you lead us to believe. We understand it's side content and a controversial game mode that the majority complain about and it must be somewhat difficult to parse the reports from the actual grievances to the people just complaining. Even with that in mind, one of the things holding FFXIV as a whole from being an amazing, all around, top MMO is it's PVP, and the unanswered, legitimate grievances only add another nail into the coffin.

I ask anyone reading this to comment with your own thoughts, ideas, grievances of your own(although I am sure after this much time this complaint must sound like a broken record), in order to hopefully receive some sort of answer by SE and the devs. Thank you.

SE only cares if JP DCs are affected

bring all the scripts and hacks to mana and elemental and they'll do something about it

also no more armor seasons or desirable rewards, we need ugly shit roaders again because degenerate roaches will infest the queue otherwise

I think it best to just end the ranking of the Feast mode now. I have been playing since Season 1 and it has not been this bad until recently. In season 18 and 19... you can barely get a legitimate match because players are cheating without any type of punishment.

Wintrading, Boosting, Hacking, Scripting, and Target grieving your competition. Now, even Rank 1 slots get corrupted. It is just not fun to play with and against cheaters in a competitive environment. It so bad that I'm hearing stories of extortion and blackmail now, "Pay me and I won't through your matches this season"

I understand SE does not have a task force to handle PvP cheating so it's best to just keep PVP/Feast casual until then now that cheating is a common tactic. A light party season will not solve these issues either.

Once people realized how to game the system and how rarely people get punished for PvP incidents outside of obvious harassment, the misconduct taking place in Feast has increased 10 fold. I mean why not cheat when there are no consequences?
If a competitive game mode like this is going to continue with rare rewards, it needs much stricter and more active moderation. If SE can't do that then stop giving out any sort of ranked reward that would incentivize bad behavior. Just give us Magna Roader recolors from here on out.

I started playing feast in season 15 I'm not a vet I'm still a relatively new player with alot to learn. Alot of my friends who played during season 18 and season 19 were good players there is no denying that. We aren't top ten players by no means but we along with many others grind it out in hopes to get high enough on the board. But SE there is no viable way to get on the board when a couple of bad actors can seemlesly control the ques with multiple alternative accounts and essentialy raise the floor to there will and receive payment while doing so. Why do players who play this game legitimate get punished while bad actors are able to maintain there accounts? It makes the reward not even worth it and pushes players like me and other new players away. At the very least restrict feast to one character. Square Enix if there is anything you can do or need from us we are here with any evidence you need but as is stated above it is up to you to actually do something.

literally everything bad people memed about pvp for rampant cheating and wintrading was untrue

until this armor season came out

and then everything ledditors and dragonslayers said was validated because disgusting normies need their shiny pixel rewards

To those that cheat, it's obvious who you are to veteran pvpers. There is no prestige in unearned pixels, and most people that don't pvp don't even care one bit.

I honestly hope they release the ranked rewards to a larger audience after so much time (year or two maybe) for wolf collars or a similar currency not yet implemented. I'd even like it if they put it on the mogstation, because it would cost players much less to buy it from there than to buy a boost.

Square Enix will ban someone for using the F word, yet blatant cheaters are allowed to roam free as long as it's in PvP.

I think it's pretty obvious they only care about gameplay exploits and issues if it affects JP DCs

so the obvious solution is to make them unplayable the way NA is rn
