Log-in and character not where it was left?

Okay, so weird bug. After finishing some leves around 4:00 am (Hawaii time), my friend (Viggo Valentino) and I teleported to Limsa and logged out in the inn rooms. When we logged back in, both of us were standing in active mode north of Camp Drybone. We were doing leves at the camp, but we never even fought where we were logged back into.

Both Viggo and I use the same internet connection, and we play in the same room.
