    Bozjan Fort is going to have a serious tank/healer shortage problem

    Looking at the live letter there is NOTHING about this that looks good as a Tank main. The way the invites work, regular mobs being pointless besides endless grinding to spawn critical encounters, 1v1 dual system favoring DPS over tanks/healers. There is nothing being presented here that makes me think healers and tanks will avoid this content because of how heavily dps'd are favored.

    It seems like the only purpose of tanks/healers are to stand there and wait for Critical Encounters and do nothing.

    It depends how they calculate the contribution in skirmishes.
    Let's say you get 50 people doing the same skirmish "fate," all of them get 1 mettle point
    Compared to if a party of 4 does a skirmish, they get 10 points each

    The system for giving you a lower "fate" grade exists (bronze, silver, and gold medals), so I'm hoping they use that when 20 people hit the same fate. This would encourage smaller parties, which by nature will require a tank/healer.

    Or as said above, the logos system could just turn any role into a high damage role or whatever.

    its going to have a shortage of healers and tanks except paladin which as we all know is king of solo content. So the 1v1 is gonna be a joke for them given devs fear making most mobs do any reasonable amount of damage to tanks

    For the system if they use FATE's calculations it might have a bias to healers or tanks though right? Super easy to collect a bunch of enmity if you're a healer or tank. Sometimes in FATEs I just turn on tank stance if I showed up late and pretty much always get gold even if it's just a tiny bit of the FATE left lol.

    I was actually thinking people might be like "thank god the 1v1 is a Paladin, we'll probably win" vs like a dancer or something and people just leave early because "we're doomed". Red Mage with tanking logos could be pretty spiffy too.

    Although given they thought about this, which I'm sure they did, then with the right actions any one job selected could probably make it happen. So I'm not really too worried.

    I mean, the 1v1 missons aren't the only critical engagements in there, and tanks do just fine with contributions since most fate/hunt contributions are based on threat.
