Leveling other Jobs at the Southern Front...

....Anyone else hugely dislikes that? Besides the tons of ways to level we already have, just like PVP this will lead to tons of ppl just leeching for easy exp, maybe even worse then during the fate trains in Eureka....

Also sync to 430... just why, I wanna use the gear we grinded Q_Q

Why do you care you don't have to level anything there. There are lots of people who wanted other things to do in zones like this and they appear to be trying to give it to them.

Eureka was level synced too and it appears this is to level the playing field for some of the battle encounters in the zone.

Wonder if there will be any tome rewards for any of these encounters like we got in Eureka.

No, because it makes up for having no deep dungeon this expansion and looks more engaging than deep dungeon. Some people may or may not leech but the content isn’t out yet so we can only conjecture what it will actually be like.

This. They said since we're not getting a deep dungeon something will have to make up for it, and this is it. And since it's less mindless than deep dungeons, people are still gonna do it les than deep dungeon so I don't know how you all think it's gonna impact roulettes. Besides roulettes are a once a day matter, they're only a small part of the levelling for most people, and tbh ShB was very much lacking other things to do.

I'm also disappointed about the ilvl sync down though.

Hello, aren't we forgetting some options here?

->Like in, is PVP a joke to you? It might not be as efficient as it used to be at the start of 4.0, but for a DPS it's still a solid option.
->One Roulette (namely Leveling) per day can even be accessed when you go alone; more than 20 min waiting-time only happen when you try at a time people work / sleep.
->Daily hunts give some easy EXP one can grab while waiting for roulette- / dungeon-que to happen.
->Also, remember Trust, maaaybee...? The devs outright said we get no PotD for ShB because we got an always available dungeon-crew.

If the options we already have were so boring, I wouldn't have leveled my StB-Maxlevels (a ka all jobs existing at 4.5) in just a half year up to ShB-Maxlevels - while being not very ambitious, by the way. Had I given my very best, I bet 3 months would have been doable.

Nonetheless, more options to level is always a good thing.

Might be true, but it annoys me whenever someone outright forgets everything else whenever a deep-dungeon-like-thing gets introduced.

    Plus...
Sure, people have limited time, so they pick stuff that's most efficient - I myself need to plan which hobby I want to prioritize per day, so I can relate to the issue - YET...

Eureka was unwillingly encouraging (even maxleveled) players to go afk and let others do the work instead of helping with as many FATE-spawns as possible.
->So, if someone prefers this system over deep dungeons, I smell a possible laziness which sadly triggers my frustration as a player who has been visiting Eureka since its Anemos-release.

No. Its lazy... "lets tack EXP, Tome, artificial currency (preferably in 2 types) AND do X 1000x makes it so all kinds of ppl who dont really wanna do it are feeling forced to....

How many times did ppl say "i hate Eureka, but its easy tome" etc... same for pvp.

Yes more ways to level, a change of pace and (at least the illusion of) fleeing the treadmill is important, but can we have some Endgame stuff exclusively for Endgame Jobs? Almost all Rouletts sync us down, limit our skills etc... im not happy with the 430 sync but i can deal with that, though id have it to at least 480 - or 490 considering we most likely will be able to upgrade the crafted gear.

I just wished for some endgame stuff that isnt savage raiding and the relic kinda would be the right thing, but well...

You have them: max level dungeons and trials and raids.

But as I've said previously in another thread, FFXIV doesn't have to follow other games' definition of endgame and/or content where content is either only for max level or only for leveling.

Making content be useful for both people who are leveling and for people at max level is a staple for FFXIV and it's a great feature for the game.

If you think it's lazy, then don't do the content. That up to you.

Say "PvP" to a random group of MMO players and a sizable section if not the majority will nope right on out. Sweeten the pot enough that PvE players feel compelled to participate and you'll just people that do the bare minimum to qualify.

Anecdotally: This round of Moogle Tomes featured Rival Wings. I figured it was my chance to dip in particularly after some assurances that "it's easy" followed by an insistence on reading a super dense six page dissertation on the mode with an admonition to ingest everything in there. Guess what I did not do? (spoiler: There was much farming of MSQ roulette. Again)

20 minutes is atrocious and I say that as somebody that can play a few hours a night. Even still the time band to get a 20 minute queue time is far more narrow. In my experience if I don't immediately queue around dinner time I'm doomed to 30+ and I'm in an earlier timezone than most on my server.

I only put up with that once a night for MSQ roulette while I'm doing dinner prep and pixies. If the guild is doing something interesting when I'm done I'll hang out with them but lately I just log off.

The word I'd use is "tedious" and their payouts are poor. Much like FATEs I only actively do hunts if I'm within 5-10% of reaching the next level.

Trusts exacerbate one of XIV's biggest flaws. You'd think with such a depth and breadth of dungeons you'd get to level with some variety but you would be wrong. After the daily roulette only the one or two nearest your level are worth running for experience. Trusts require six runs per ShB dungeon before they can move on to the next one. I don't hate myself that much. Yet.
