fixed :/ thanks xD
Shout for parties and groups all day long, just use the auto translate... Because I know my LSs anyway pass that info to those of us NOT in Ul'Dah.
However, I agree with the title of the OP... someone today was shouting asking JP players if they even smoke a certain type of pot. Seriously!?

As someone else pointed out, asking for something in /sh, either a party shout, repairs or whatever every 10-15 seconds is annoying as hell. Makes me want to shout back "Yes I have a 7/8 party, but you're not getting an invite cause you're an annoying bastard!" but I never do, cause it's just as rude
The full conversations in /sh used to bother me immediately after servers were merged, since I definitely wasn't used to that on Palamecia, but they toned down too. Occasionally someone will post something like "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" in 2 lines of text length out of the blue, but I usually just roll my eyes.
I seem to ALWAYS forget past quests, chores, locations and mob names, but I never forget names of people whose shouts rub me the wrong way in /sh >_>

I always /shout back USE THE DANG PARTY SEARCH FEATURE!

Funniest part of shout chat to me is the people who shout that we shouldn't be using the /sh and if needed use it sparringly, this is amusing to me. After merger we found out that people from the server we merged with were all bent out of shape over it, I guess we didnt mind as much on our old server.
Now every time I log in I make it a point to shout random nonsense.
To Belive in the Heroic is what makes men Heroes.
Shout whatever's on your mind, in my opinion.

I check the search function, probably nab one person, if I'm lucky. I also use the search function for myself, I'm sitting there for 6 hours doing nothing.
I will continue shouting until the community learns to use the search function.
Deal with it.
