I bet you Nidhogg, will deal with the DRG's AF WeaponWhen i heard this i got very excited but then i started to realize that this game will do 1 of 2 things to this legendary HNM A. 5min respawn in which case will be fun for about 2 days B. Make it Instance in which case will be like current content and be fun for like 1month . Please SE or SE reps let us know more on this or tidbits on the Legendary HNMs plans.

Actually, Nidhogg is directly tied to the story of the Dragoon job, I am very sure that SE is going to throw us Bahamut as the Dragon Primal for an 'everybody' content, however.

that would kick ass if they made old HNM's as lore HNM's in FFXIV that would add another element of story to this game and can add more stuff to do.
Yeah Nidhogg took 21 hours for a chance to pop once upon a time in another mmo, but not anymore. its trigger popped now.
when people start using bots most legit players just wont bother with that content anymore, and some LS just claim just to get the claim.

Theres competition now? lols wish I saw that...
But unless you make it instanced to the individual, yes there will be botting. But then even if its instanced, how do you make it worthwhile? HNM lasted long because you didnt blast through them in a week-month, all XIV dungeons you do, becomes useless content very fast, HNM lasted years.
So do we have easy content thats burned out in a month?
Or do we have content that can last for years with lots of compition?
Or do we stick to things like Ifrit/Mog? Is this the right balance but still hating?
In that sense, do you enjoy doing AV/Ifrit/Mog 5000 times to finally get what you want?
Or do you prefer to have a chance/day to maybe get it after 25-30 times?
Everyone is bashing an single idea, and saying "NO CUS OF TEH BOTZ" but what is the solution.

Drop "force pop" item from mobs in dungeon (NM or else), then pop it outdoor, if you wipe, NM wont disapear at all, it's open to everyone to claim it after that or not, it can last all day long until a group kill it.but what is the solution.
In that way, only pos-hack bot could be annoying, but it's probably easy to find out who used it.
And a group that can't handle it, can give up, and NM will be free to claim, as no one want to spend time to see if a group fail, there'll be no much worries of bot claiming.

HNM create content for bot only, i'm sorry, but you can't really compet with a bot, only them are available to enjoy the end game content. (well, not all HNM, but the most interesting and have long pop timer).Face it, HNMs don't create botting, MMORPGs in general creates botting,

People need to stop assuming everyone who did HNM in XI botted, I played on ps2 and claimed enough niddhogs to say fuck a bot program. People are just quick to point the blame finger when they don't get it. I mean when the first land HNM's came out in this game and my ls claimed it 5 times in a row we had ppl calling us bots then. Folks are gonna use this as an excuse to try to make a point. You can't tell the devs not to put in content cause your afraid of hackers.
If you don't wanna be bothered with hackers stay inside your safe little instance.
I agree that in most cases like in FFXI you still had a chance to outclaim bots, due to lag, ISP connection, and system specs that can handle the absurd load of people. I myself had claimed a few here and there, but it didn't mean they didn't exist or weren't in abundance. Back on Asura we had a guy we called "Super Ralph" and for the longest time he had a 98% claim rate on all HNM's he ever attended. He was just a naked level 75 crafting mule and all he ever did was run to the zone, get claim, move on to the next zone while his shell killed the HNMs, and repeat. In the end it turned most HNMLS's off from doing it or forced them to feel the need to bot in order to compete, by time the guy got banned all kinds of shells began botting to compete with each other just compounding the problem, just turned into an endless cycle.People need to stop assuming everyone who did HNM in XI botted, I played on ps2 and claimed enough niddhogs to say fuck a bot program. I'm all for a little competition, but I really would rather avoid reliving 21-24 hour windows that just encourages foul play from players.
