    Black screen while dungeon raiding.

    Hello,

I come here today in hopes to resolve in issue which I think is quite bothersome for multiple reasons. I recently built my pc to be able to handle high intensive games such as Final Fantasy and others of the sort. I am able to log into the game just fine without any issues, I can stay in lobby with my character roaming around all the cities and scenery perfectly fine.

However, once I queue up for a dungeon such as a daily, I will maybe at best get through 10 minutes or less of game time before my computer monitor turns black. I can still hear the background music until a certain point, the monitor will stay black and give the message that there isn't a signal. It's weird because my pc will still be running while this is happening. I have to forcefully shut down the pc and restart it in order just to get back onto my menu.

I find this super frustrating because I can't even get a single daily finished, so I am literally just afking in the game doing nothing productive. If anyone has a solution that could resolve this, PLEASE, I am all ears.

These are my specs just in case anyone is wondering.

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor
    Motherboard: TUF Gaming X570-Plus
    Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL19 Memory [x4]
Storage: Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive & Mushkin Source 250 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Video Card: XFX Radeon RX 590 8 GB FATBOY OC+ Video Card
Power Supply: GameMax Power Supply 850W Fully Modular 80+ Gold Certified

Now, this is what I have done so far in order to try and fix the issue myself, just to save myself and everyone the trouble and going through the standardized troubleshoot checklist.

    I have;
-Uninstalled the game completely, deleted all files and reinstalled it several times.
-Uninstalled all my graphics drivers and reinstalled the most current drivers.
-Optimized lower graphic settings so it doesn't strain my pc as much, even though it's built to overclock.
-Checked CPU temperature (it was heating up a lot so I reapplied a coolant paste so it's much cooler than before, sitting around 90 degrees - 120 degrees F when gaming hard.

If there is anything I should do or a suggestion you think could help by all means please leave a comment and I will keep an update of anything that happens.

    Thank you for reading.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums

How long have you been having this issue? Additionally, does the screen only turn black when you are in a dungeon raiding? Is there a crash error message that appears when the screen turns black? Also, are you able to provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums

Does it happen when the dungeon has a cutscene ? I've had a similar issue before (my monitors lost all signal, I could still hear a loop of background music but couldn't ALT-TAB, move my mouse or anything everything completely froze), and the only fix I could figure out was either skip the problematic cutscene or delete the related ex1, ex2 or ex3 files to reinstall the ressources because of a file corruption.
