How can I block the windows in an apartment?

I tried the Stage Panels, but as you write, it doesn't help with the door, or the ceiling, and they float, just as the Marble Partitions I tried. I can't for the life of me understand that it should be a problem to add plain walls, floor and ceiling, letting the players decide everything from scratch, by adding stuff. And I suspect the problem is more of "Why bother changing it, we won't loose anything keeping it as it is, and it costs man-hours to change it". I've gotten used to that philosophy having played MMORPGS since the early 90's.

Not sure what this "floating" your seeing is, but the panels and partitions are flush with the floor on my screen.

There IS something you can with the door however.

This is my small house's (in Mist) front door:



I have stage panels lining my walls and glitch/floated a window just in front of the door and covered the gap above with wall planters. I am still able to interact with the exit through the window so it works perfectly fine.

I did something similar with my apartment though I did not cover the door with a window in this case. Needless to say this only worked because it was a Shirogane apartment due to its specific wall decor allowing the panel placement very close:



I've tried similar techniques in Lavender Beds and Mist apartments but I just couldn't get the panels as close as I can in Shirogane and still look good. Mist is particularly bad:



That's why I had to float a window as my Mist house's front door because the panels had to be further from the wall to hide the accents. If you want to take a look at either or both you can find them at:
