How do I prevent partitions from floating?

I'm trying to place some Marble Partitions in my apartment, but they float a few inches above the floor. How do I move them down to the floor? When I search the net all I seem to find is how to make things to float, I want the opposite, prevent them from floating.

They should not float by default... Could you provide screenshots? That doesnt sound very likely to me, to be honest.

A few things you could try, that make floating items "unfloat":
Move them a bit - anything that floats will fall back to the ground if its moved.
Leave the apartment and enter again - if items arent floated to a certain threshhold, they'll snap back to the ground. So if that treshhold isnt reached, they should end up on the floor.

Are you placing them from storage or from your bad. Try placing them from whichever you are not using currently.

Like Vidu said, a screenshot of what you're seeing would be very helpful here so we could see what other objects are nearby. Those who do the floating guide tests say the partitions need to be at least to Glade Table height to retain their floating position so even if there was some unknown glitch causing them to float that few inches during placement, they should snap back down to the floor once you leave your apt and re-enter.

Bad? I've placed both from Inventory and Storeroom, no difference.

I think it's a visual trick to the eye. Might be the way shadows are working.
