I always figured the whole point of Trusts was getting to kill the Scions.
If only Lyse were a Trust member...

But.... they are literally the same. Nothing about her changed from HW to SB. She's always been the blonde goofy monk, she still is the blonde goofy monk. The only difference is she had to do more then just be goofy. That's literally it. Now if you wanna talk about if it was good or not that's a different story, but persona wise.. nothing's changed.
I could kill for some scones right now. Irish scones with butter!
They are a little overbearing and it just feels like I'm their "beck and call girl".

Thancred and Urianger are still stuck on the first they havent gone back to the source. They're just talking about itThat would actually make for an interesting story line. Idon't know how willing SE would be to kill off their poster-girl though. :X
And this is probably the wrong thread for this, but on a slightly-aether related note - how is it that Thancred & Urianger were able to go back to the Source after completing the Eden fights? IIRC, at the end of ShB, they were still trying to find a way to get back to their bodies. At the end of the Eden CSs, the two of them were saying it was there time to go back home. I swear I was trying to pay attention, but I seem to have missed something big :P
Edit: and to stay on topic of this thread I used to hate Thancred in 1.0 and only joined the Immortal flames to watch him die... Alas he didnt and they actually improved him... I wouldnt want any of the scions to die or for me to kill them... Maybe slap Alisaie around for using the limit break too much but that's it.

My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e. My story's infinite Like the Longines Symphonette it doesn't rest- TMBG Birdhouse in your Soul
A huge THANK YOU!!!! For FINALLY selling the Meteor Survivor Polo on the store. AND a huge thanks to my friend who bought it for me while he was at Fan Fest!!! YES I finally have my POLO!!!
I want to feed the Scions. Give me a scene where I make lunch for all of them.
Yda was written off before ARR even took off, and what we got instead was the single most boring character in FF history, and had an entire expansion revolving around her, where the only saving grace was any time there was a cutscene with Zenos. I abhorred stormblood.
In any case, of all the Scions, just let me fight Aliasdihfvodifhvo however her name is spelled. I want to pound the poor Michelle Rodriguez wannabe so hard with a blunt dull sword.

the only one i cared about the game killed off... so I say kill them all now...
Eh, any issues I have with the Scions generally come down to what writer is currently at the helm during any given expansion or patch. In the hands of the wrong writer they can pretty quickly come off as sanctimonious and downright moronic as seen with the whole lead up to the Tsukiyomi incident. No I will never let that glaring cavalcade of stupidity go. Yet in the hands of an actually good writer like Ishikawa they become tolerable at worst to downright endearing in their best moments. I honestly almost wish that Ishikawa could take a crack at writing Lyse because I dare say that she likely could fix all the characterization issues that made that character such a mess by the time SB ended.

I'd be very happy to see Alisae killed off or retired. Other than her, I either tolerate or like the rest of the Scions. Though in my opinion Y'shtola is pushing it with the frequent fake deaths and Urianger could do with one of his secretive schemes backfiring for a change in order to humble him.
