we all here in this thread trying to decide which character in scion to kill off, and complain their "death" is not permanent and so on.
and yoshi maybe like "kill scion? bro we are bringing back papalymo on the next expansion"
lol

If we kill off any scions, I hope they get a better "death" then Popolymo. (To lazy to spell it correctly)
I personally like the Scions this time, but agreed Y'shtola can't keep dying and being wished back from the ether. They can't do this a 3rd or 4th time. Either bench her or make her death official next time you wanna put her in harms way
Please kill Alisaie, I absolutely can't stand her, so much that she's the only Trust member I haven't levelled at all.
The resk are ok-ish but I'm also tired of all the fake deaths yeah.
On the other hand, I'd replace them all with papalaymo in a heartbeat.
I used to hate Alphi, but all the time together since HW made him feel like family, while instead I'm tired of baby-sitting his sister.

Being trapped for years on the elevator listening to Gaius mumble has finally brainwashed me to see things.......his way. And if the developers don’t like the new found feelings of the many...Then they needed to get us off the elevator. Sooooooooo yay death to the Scions! Death to all! Pew pew Lazers! Y´shtola never let me have a party or parade anyhow! Down with the Tyrant!

Was gonna respond, I understand, but oh well.
There are good reasons and bad reasons to kill characters. There is the cliche that someone has to die to prove the the stakes are real. With that thinking you end up with a bunch of red shirts. What I think is worse is character developed just enough so you don't think of them as "disposable". I think Moenbryda was added to die. The character destined to die to motivate the hero works more in self contained movies. With TV shows there is often a character introduced at the beginning of the season that you know is going to die by end. It feels like they put these in just so you can't accuse them of having no stakes, like a certain character in Stranger Things. There is a certain movie where everyone dies and quite frankly it has the same impact as if no on died. Part of the "stakes" is being doomed to survive.

We've lost 4 and possibly 5 depending on how you look at it:
Louisoix
Papalymo
Moenbryda
Minfilia
Yda may or may not count since we never met her except possibly during 1.0. The timeline is unclear exactly when she died, just that it happened during the same year that 1.0 events took place. She could have died any time from before it started up to and including just after the battle of Cartenau. Even if she did die before we met her, however, we did lose her in a sense since we thought she was someone else. That aspect is more about 4th wall stuff, rather than her actual death though. If the metric is jsut that she was a Scion and she died, then it's pretty clear cut that she counts.

Oops, I misspelled Yda, I must be thinking of someone else. We've lost 4 and possibly 5 depending on how you look at it:

I kinda assumed the Yda in 1.0 was Lyss, but I haven't directly experienced that. Yda being Lyss (or vice versa) kinda feels like a retcon, but I guess it explains some of her awkwardness. Maybe it was intended from the beginning.
But those are some good points.
I can't think of any friends being brought back from what was supposed to be actual death. There are a few times when their survival is a little too convenient.
