Just rolled a warrior and am really put off by the beast gauge aura

Topic kind of say s it all, but given the respectable customization of our characters that ffxiv allows, why can't we disable this on an individual basis?

Not like spell effects, because that depends on others' settings. I like to view my character, and I want others to view it like I see it, more or less. The beast gauge aura obfuscates all the cool detail and color. Makes me a bit sad, since a lala with a huge axe is hilarious and awesome.... but all I see is swirly fire.

Please give us the option to turn it off/on, as we would with our visor/helmets/etc. Its kind of hard to believe this is a technical limitation that can't be pulled off.

edit: also this is my first post, I thought it was worth finally registering to post about because I wish we could turn it on/off that much....had the game for years. And hello, forums. o/

No, please don't. It's complaints like this why my Dark Knight's darkside aura's visibility was nerfed like 3 times to where you can barely even see the aura and it is highly generic. It's also complaints like this that ruined Gunbreaker's SFX quality.

If you don't like it just play DRK it's the same thing anyway.

I don't mind complaining about it, because I hate the look. Straight up. I don't care what they do per se, keep it or whatever, but just give us the option to turn it off on an individual basis.

Yes please! I just hit 35 as Warrior and this is driving me crazy. I like to walk around and just appreciate my armor and the scenery between fights. This aura makes that so difficult. The best solution I've found so far is to change classes and change back, which I'm doing every time I fight anything now, but this is so tedious and annoying. Just give us the option to disable it PLEASE. I was having so much more fun before level 35.

Another option would be to disable auras outside of combat, but I don't want to interfere with people who like to stand around looking like super saiyans. I just want to be able to look at my armor and the scenery in peace without an orange tornado obscuring everything.

They just need a 'turn off personal auras' option in the settings.
This would apply to the Beast gauge aura, Darkside, Greased Lightning, Eye/Blood of the dragon, etc.

I would disable the visibility of this gauge below 50 points.

Having it visible under 50 does not make sense at all, and at 50 points it would even help in awareness.

lol i totally forgot about it, thats how long im not playing tanks in this game.
They could make it 20 points and then make aura more red at 50 points.
