Is it time to remove dots from the game?

Bow Shock is mostly fine in my opinion with it being an ogcd. On the other hand, Sonic Break is weird with it being a weaponskill with a 60s cooldown.



In some jobs they are mostly superfluous. Both Gunbreaker's Sonic Break and Blackmage's Thunder III could be dropped from the rotation and how both jobs' play would be relatively unchanged.

Oh yeah, I don't think they are bad for GNB, but it's like you said...they could be taken away and it'd be like nothing changed. They just don't add much of anything to the rotation.

it's literally in there by the devs of the jobs to point newer players in the way of a correct rotation.

just saying that there is "no intended rotation" for jobs on the forums does not change that there is one that is factored in with initial implementation for jobs and changes.

I never said that there was no intended rotation? I also don't see how giving new players DoTs points them in the right direction unless they are directly tied to combos, which some are.
