Can we at least wait until Shadowlands is out before judging all the class and skill changes?

This has nothing to do with that.
As for the actual topic, I don't think DoTs should be removed just like I don't think all jobs should have DoTs whenever that topic comes up. Having a variety of jobs that run the gamut from being DoT heavy (BRD, SMN) to non-DoT (RDM) to basic DoTs (NIN, SAM) and even to quasi-DoTs (MCH) is always better.
I personally prefer jobs that have little to no DoT management, but that doesn't mean there aren't those that do and there should exist jobs for both.
My mistake I meant shadowbringers not shadowlands, been reading too much about wow recently haha
Yeah I think they can design different styles of play for different jobs and hopefully players will try the jobs that satisfy their style most. Not all jobs need DoTs but some jobs should have them.
Like I think having a healer be this more simplified style is probably good for many people, but also clearly a bit boring for others, so they should ideally make sure there is a healer that has many decision trees (not just buttons to mash, even if the tree is a bit simple it can help feel like you have to stay awake to do what you need to do- for those who are looking for that faster / higher demand at least).
You missed the joke.
As it stands, speaking as someone who had more DoTs and had them taken away over the years (RIP SCH Thunder), I'd rather not have them be lost completely. Bard, especially, is built around it, so they'd have to change bard AGAIN to get that working.
I have a feeling that you didn't get the joke...This has nothing to do with that.
