Add a hardmode or mythic + versions. Totally agree.
OP, I want that too, but I feel like the player base isn't ready for it.
I feel like what we need are more tools in game for helping the player improve.
When I started I played for about a year before I realized everything I was doing as SMN was wrong, the game had never really taught me how to play, and I had so much unlearning to do I just ditched the class (despite how much I liked it). As it stands there's still very little to tell a player that they're doing well beyond "did you die?" And if they had more tools in game to help people improve the community would be better prepared for harder content.
As it stands the average player is just... too not good.
Some dungeons in the past have been nerfed because people couldn't handle the sudden increase in damage. Stone Vigil is one of them. And mostly because it's required for story progression.
And increasing difficulty may be difficult across the board when you have people struggling on the following dungeons:
Stone Vigil [normal]
Dzemael Darkhold
Aurum Vale
Pharos Sirius [normal, even after the nerfs]
The Keeper of the Lake [mostly on the last boss]
Wanderer's Palace (Hard) with bad healers and tanks
The Vault
The Great Gubal Library [normal]
Bardam's Mettle
Doma Castle
Castrum Abania
The Burn
In short, average player skill may need to go up if you want dungeons to have increased difficulty.

and ofc the best way to do this is by making every job the same and easier \o/. oh w8Some dungeons in the past have been nerfed because people couldn't handle the sudden increase in damage. Stone Vigil is one of them. And mostly because it's required for story progression.

People always complain about something until it is gone. Other MMO's out there are so far out of the reservation when it comes to class design you can barely recognize or understand how to even play classes anymore. I'll take FF14 design decisions ANYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYday over some of the other options out there.
I've been wanting something similar to FF14 for years now. I thought with the linearity of the ShB dungeon content, they were aiming for that.
ill humbly disagree, for 2 main reasonsPeople always complain about something until it is gone. 1) this is the other extreme
2) there is not at least one single complex job per role for people to have fun . everything is accessible but a person wanting a job that isnt patronising him and handholding him , because they are already experienced and simply want something a cut above in challenge , isnt an unreasonable request to have.
Because people said "why would I play NIN? It's more work for, at best, around the same outcome." And then SE had to change it.2) there is not at least one single complex job per role for people to have fun . everything is accessible but a person wanting a job that isnt patronising him and handholding him , because they are already experienced and simply want something a cut above in challenge , isnt an unreasonable request to have.

Well they should have increased the outcome. especially since now i see NINs saying the job is now boring to them cause most of the time you 1 2 3. I really hope SE picks up on this and we dont see another ACCESSIBILITY changes next expansion.
"looks at 5.3 translation" "we made BA more accessible by introducing an easy mode"
