As the title suggests,
No reason say a marmot should be able to hit a DRG in the air during jump or even elu jump.
Thanks.

Agreed. I had hoped elusive jump would be a full evade-type ability at least, not just a forced "brush back" move.
Boom.
Interestingly, Jump will hilariously make you MORE open to attack as-is because it temporarily moves you into melee range before moving you back to where you were.
I managed to move-aggro a gigantic cluster of enemies one time when I jumped at a nearby enemy, and no they didn't link or at least neither my client nor my party's client acused a link, it was an honest-to-god sound aggro right there.
I tried both jumps on Ifrit the other day. Regular jump during hellfire...elusive jump during cracks...no dice on either. Although, the elusive jump did move me out of range for 2 of the 3 blasts during cracks...so.
Sad part is I'm not even a drg yet, I was on XI but we had HIGH JUMP, not this weird elusive jump which is cool but in either case of Jump or Elusive Jump its not really seeming logical that non ranged attacks are hitting, I would seriously challenge ranged attacks even being plausible, even with a gun.
I noticed how silly this was when my DRG friends I was healing for an AF quest a thon on my whm were getting hit in the air, and I "???"..
