Title say it all.
I'm tripping over battle class materia, but where the heck do I get some for DoL an DoH classes?

Scripts.
Specifically, for DoH that's collectible turn-ins for Cunning Craftmans Syrup (Yellow scripts) and Tinctures (White) whenever they're starred. When they aren't starred, just keep your retainers on Hunting Ventures for the mats to stockpile in advance.
The second method is to buy a stack of Apprentice's Practice Materials, use a Superior Spiritbond Potion and spam craft (you can even fail) Grade 2 Expert Skybuilders Practice materials, then Extract Materia as your gear reaches 100%.
DoH is extremely easy.
You get a full set of Dwarven/Swallowskin DoH gear (not the 460/470), use a Superior Spritbond Potion, a Squadron Spiritbonding Manual and go gathering from current content timed nodes. Pentameld all pieces, but you can use ANY cheap grade 1 rubbish. Make frequent use of Solid Reason for extra spiritbond. You can gain around 30%-40% per node. Extract Materia regularly at 100%. I use the following node rotation.
12:00 - Imperial Fern (BTN) - Kholusia Stilltide
12:00 - Raw Onyx (MNR) The Tempest
2:00 - Fireheart Cobalt (MIN) - Lakeland Ostal
2:00 - Sandalwood Log - Rak'tika
4:00 - Duskblooms (BTN) - Amh Araeng Inn
4:00 - Prismstone - (MNR) Il'Mheg
6:00 - Purpure Shell Chips (MIN) - Tempest (Cave) Macarenses
6:00 - Lemonette - (BTN) Kholousua
8:00 - Merbau Log (BTN) - Il Mheg Lhyda
8:00 - Ethereal Cocoon - Lakeland
10:00 - Ashen Lumen (MIN) - Amh Araeng Twine
10:00 - Tungsten Ore - The Tempest
This is very helpful.
Thank you very much.
Pretty much this. I had the swallowskin stuff and wasn't hitting node bonuses but I was spiritbonding like crazy. Upgraded, and spiritbonding is ridiculously slow.Scripts.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
You can also purchase DoL materia from the Qitari beast tribe using their currency, I believe.
