    Job idea.

    Hello, this is my first post on the forums since i started playing back in ARR. Honestly i dont know how to use the forums or if this is even the right sub-forum to post something like this.

    It would be some sort of low mobility, magic, melee dps(magic ranged dps role skills). The whole idea is that he has to cast an ability before each physical attack he deals, it would probably feel like a melee version of black mage, where you try to be as greedy as possible about holding your ground.

    Charge Skill- 2.50 cast with 2.50(gcd) recast spell, it will empower/enable the next usage of select skills. (mana cost undecided)

    Combo1 step1- 200 (380 if charged) potency.

    Combo1 step2- 300 (520 if charged) potency *grants you a “No charge weaponskill” stack.

    Combo1 step3- 380 (890 if charged) potency.

    Combo1 alt step3- 200 (720 if charged) potency *also applies charged effect to next skill. 30 seg cd.

    Combo2 step1- 200 (240 if charged) potency.

    Combo2 step2- 300 (360 if charged) potency.

    Combo2 step3- 380 (400 if charged) potency. Applies a buff that reduces the cast time of the Charge Skill by 20%, lasts 60 secs

    (Combo2 addendum: It’s not intended to be used with charge. It’s more of a flavor text/effect)

    "No charge weaponskill"- (tbd potency) uses a stack granted from combo step.

    Big burst- uses 5 stacks of the “No charge weaponskill” to deal massive damage.

    Buff one(big damage)- gives you 5 charge stacks (not stackable normally) for your skills. 120 sec (ogcd)

    Self mitigation- Creates a barrier that block 15% of your hp. If charged 20% and if broken the charge is refunded and next weaponskill deals 10% more damage.

    Dash in Skill- 200 potency. Rushes target. Is only available if charged

    Ogcd skill- 150 potency. Regenerates a portion of your mana. 40 sec.

    AoE- didn really flesh this out. Probably a 2 step combo that has big potency bonus with charge and refreshes the cast time buff.

    This is something i just brainstormed one night and i wanted to share, it is missing skills, party utility, and some more synergy among itself. I by no means am an expert at video game design/balancing, it just felt like a cool playstyle.
    On a second note this class can also work as a “cannoneer” archetype, having to load heavy ammunition each time it shoots.

    Lol, it kinda really is "Dark Arts-The Job" but i feel since charging up is on the global cooldown it would be enough of a difference to make it feel fresh.
