Tedious quest turn-ins

Not much happening here, so I restarted my WoW sub for a month and have been doing some catching up, but I still return here for the pixie quests for the easy tomestones. However, there's a huge difference in the number of clicks required to turn in a quest, especially if it involves handing items over:

FFXIV, Turning in a Pixie quest:
1. Right click quest marker
2. Click quest name.
3. Right click turn-in item.
4. Click item to hand over.
5. Click Hand Over button.
6 Click dialog panel
7. Click dialog panel
8. Click complete.

And, for comparison, a WoW quest with turn-ins:
1. Right click quest NPC
2. Click quest name
3. Click Continue. (Items collected just disappear from your bag)
4. Click Complete Quest (May be a choose reward option here)

On controller you can press square and it automatically selects the item you need to hand over, cuts out a coupke steps there.
Not sure if there's an equivalent for M&K.

This is especially bad for white/yellow script farming.

You have 100 items to submit to this NPC and you have to go through FF14 shitty turn in system for each of them. Plus what tilts me even more is that Diadem gathering turn in is already automatic, why don't they just use that?

There's a lot of unnecessary ui clicking for whatever bloody reason. My biggest peeve with this game? Windows you already have open being closed when accessing something else (like retainers), but reopening when leaving whatever you accessed.

Just. Leave. Them. Open. If I wanted them closed, I would have closed them to begin with! I like having my craft window open so I can double check things, and temporarily closing them means yet another unnecessary click in a game that already has far too many. Ugh...

Not that I think that this is a big deal, this was a thing loooooong before covid. And covid doesn't mean people can't have critism. If the complaint was calling the devs lazy because of the delay, that would be one thing.

Numpad-0. Usually that's all I need to spam. Rarely a turn-in item gets out of order and I need to manually right-click the turn-in square to select it. But I'll agree that the UI is excessive in the user actions it requires to do what should be very simple.

last I checked, there is a subscription fee. its not charity that they do. if they dont update the game, people will unsub until they do.
