    There are currently:

    4 Tanks: 2 MT 2 OT
    4 Healers: 2 Pure 2 Barrier
    5 Melee: 2 Striking 2 Maiming 1 Scouting
    3 Ranged: 2 Support 1 Selfish
    4 Casters: 2 Crit-based 2 SpS-based(One is limited)

    There are at least 5 more expansions in XIV’s main story.
    They also have a pattern of adding a healer or tank at intervals.
    If you think of them pairing a DPS with a Healer or Tank, it would go like this:

    (The DPS slots are just examples according to their released order up until now)

    7.0 OT Tank, Scouting
    8.0 Pure Healer, Striking
    9.0 MT Tank, Selfish Ranged
    10.0 Barrier Healer, Maiming
    11.0 Scouting, Blue Mage is a normal Job(Assuming it’s the Whalaqee expansion)

    We end up with:

    6 Tanks: 3 MT 3 OT
    6 Healers: 3 Pure 3 Barrier
    9 Melee: 3 Striking 3 Maiming 3 Scouting
    4 Ranged: 2 Support 2 Selfish
    4 Casters: 2 Crit-based 2 SpS-based


    Assuming they DON'T make up a new job but instead copy from past FF games, or at least the motifs/name,
    and also assuming Limited Jobs take up slots whether they may or may not become real jobs in the future, here are my predictions:

    7.0 OT Tank: Judge(uses warhammer) , Scouting: Geomancer(bells, because of player request probably, can use elemental magic but without the mudra)
    8.0 Pure Healer: Green Mage(rackets, the new DoT mage but a healer, give them like 8 dots then execute actions like "Fester", no oGCD healing), Striking: Viking(dual axe, relies on fast paced 2-button combos kinda like RDM, but Melee)
    9.0 MT Tank: Puppetmaster(uses garlean technology and smashes stuff with giant spanner), Selfish Ranged: Cannoneer(dispenses traps and attacks with cannons, also has an RNG base like Corsair )
    10.0 Barrier Healer: Chemist(potion gun, finally? Buff/debuff with potions, a much needed AST-type shield healer) , Maiming: Rune Fencer(dual swords, maiming focuses on charging their resource and go into enhanced phase)
    11.0 Scouting: Beastmaster(whips, Pokemon style) , SpS-based Caster: Blue Mage(in its ultimate non-hindered form, give us that Cosmo Memory LB3 YoshiP)

    There are 3 casters in the game. Blue mage is not a real job. If you can't take it into most of the content, it shouldn't be considered part of that role. I can't run 90 dungeons or do raids as a blue mage. We have 4 tanks, 4 healers, 5 melee, 3 ranged physical and 3 casters. I am personally crossing my fingers for geomancer as a new caster in 7.0.

    With white mage moving away from their elemental magic, it would be great to see a job that focuses more on water, air, and earth magic.

    I can definitely see judge being added as our next tank. I feel like it's artifact set would definitely set it apart from the other tanks.

    The only piece of gear I have is that Shisui swimming suit that I refuse to let go of.

    Give me a Blitzballer Scouting job Yoshi-P. I just wanna play volleyball in Mist for the rest of my FFXIV career.

    Scouting Job idea: Muskeeter (with some Corsair and Green Mage influence)

    1) Close-ranged job that dual wields pistols.
    2) Utilizies two different types of ammo to buff itself so its next X abilities have this buff (like how manafication for red mage works) but goes away if another ammo button is used.
    3) Ammo 1 = increased crit chance. Ammo 2 = increased direct hit rate. Ammo 3 = default aka no boosts.
    3) Uses a random dice roll to debuff a target (target takes increased damage taken, party members attacking/using abilities against it get increased haste, attacks against target restore a portion of health and mp)
    4) Eventually gets a trait called Loaded Dice which lets it semi-control its dice roll.
    5) Has an ability for when forced away from boss at a longer range where they can pull out a musket and shoot their target (think like Reaper's Harpe where its a 1.30 second cast time)

    Job Quest located at the marauders guild.

    Here's what I want. I have my own opinions on how they could work. These are the two roles I think would be next given the jobs from the last expansion. And ranged physical and magical dps are the only ones with 3 full jobs and it would balance them with the healers and tanks 4.
    Ranged Physical DPS: Beast Master, that shares gear with Ninja and wields whips. They are part of FF lore especially in 14 and have used that weapon in the past. If it were up to me, I would model the pet system after the companion system that's already in place and expand upon it. They have a base system that would be easy to upgrade to integrate into a job so they dont need to reinvent the wheel.
    Magical DPS: I would bring in the time mage. Looking at the magical jobs, there's a really only 1 form of ff magic thats not really there. Time. Adding in haste, slow, demi, etc would be fun. Maybe have them wield hammers and be a mix of ranged and melee dps, similar to the rdm but maybe focus more on melee.
    Then I would add Chemist for the next healer: kinda like RIkku's Mix ability in ffx. and tank I would add Sentinel or Berserker to bring Heals and Tanks to 5 to match melee.

    Yeah Gaia's hammer makes me want a hammer class, I will say, that Astro doesnt come off as time control for me, more space then time. Also I rarely play astro so would you mind explaining their time control skills cause reading over the abilities, Im just not seeing.

    AST used to be just a rename for time mage. Their GCD healing is reversing time, they accelerate their own spells and in the past party members' too(though that messed up rotations), Gravity is also a Time Mage spell. Despite the name, Time Mage controls both Space and Time. Time Magic in Japanese is "時空魔法" which means Time/Space Magic.
