I usually make my money with furniture items, but a certain someone seems to hold a grudge on everyone and they make 10-15 items they list at once and drop the price over 50%... Anything I make, they have to make too so I can't make any money anymore. It's sad this kind of behaviour can't be reportable. If anyone is from Phoenix, you know who I'm talking about.

I just don't know what to do anymore, I once tried to talk to them but they act all innocent. I have an alt in Japanese servers and most furniture items there are less than 10k gil so I guess she is trying to aim the market to be that destroyed.

It's called Capitalism. If I can make a thing cheap and sell it for a high price and still undercut everyone in the same market I will, and do. My average price is usually 5k gil. I make millions with little effort, and no need for bots, I just gather my own materials.

I'm not certain how you consider it destroying the market unless it forces the costs of the item below minimum gil amount it costs to make the item. Since a lot of housing items can be made from 100% player gathered materials, any price set for those items is profit.

The good news is there are tens of thousands of different items to make in the game. You can switch to making different items until the price rebounds to what you feel is acceptable,

Also, the game works the same way in Japan that it works here. If prices there are only 10k, maybe the problem is really that the sellers here are greedy and jacking up prices well above what they should be?

basically my take, if I can lower the overall price of a thing while making a profit, awesome.

Also, people need to understand Supply and Demand. if you make a thing and it sells fast, maybe raise the price, if it doesn't sell, lower the price. I adjust the prices daily when I have the stuff to sell. Luckily for my server, I'm helping a friend level right now, so I'm focused on healing and queues, but once done, back to making things with the stuff I gather and setting my own low low prices. Also when I see mats for 1 gil, time to use them.

Maybe this is a person who wants to move items quickly through their retainers so they can free up those market spaces to sell other items, or maybe this person just thinks the market is inflated and that the item could be made cheaply and has no business being as expensive as it is.

Don't just cry that this person is undercutting your selling price, diversify. Find a new niche to fill, or find a more efficient way to make a profit on this same item. This is basic capitalism, and that is the economic model that rules our current market board system.

I guess that's true. But I think a bigger problem is that people sell 20 items at once, but I guess each has their own style. I think it's more effective to float items on the market if people sell like 3-6 items at a time and then just list more when something sells.
