No quests in Coerthas..please help

First, I just came back to the game after 5 years and I am really enjoying it! Second, I will try to make this short.... *edit at end* Welp, that was a fib...

A friend and I started from scratch with new characters and are both level 34 currently. We moved up to Coerthas and the side quests in the zone are available to her character but not for mine. We have the exact list of completed quests (think we've done them all so far) except for 2 crafting quests in Uldah. She is a high crafter, i am not. Currently waiting to do "The things we do for cheese." main story quest.

Is there an easy way to find out what I'm missing? I won't say how much gil I have spent teleporting to each zone a bazillion times looking for missed quests. Apologies if the answer is right in front of me and I missed it, I couldn't find an answer anywhere else.

The lowest level side quest available in Coerthas Central Highlands is level 36. (well, 35 for the leves, but anyway)

It's possible/probably that the high crafting level of friend has revealed quests appropriate for their level. Not sure, but ARR side quests may not always/ever require being on a combat job.

Yeah, ARR quests can all be completed as any class - obviously anything with a battle component will require you to play as a battle class at that point, but crafters and gatherers are free to do the final "talk to the person with the green tick icon" and collect the EXP reward.

And of course the majority of sidequests in ARR are unlocked based on you having a class at the right level to complete them!

Though if you're not up to Coerthas in the MSQ then there's no real reason to be there yet, except maybe DRG job quests. It's better to do sidequests in the same areas the MSQ sends you, instead of working ahead, since they're usually at least somewhat relevant to the plot - or happening alongside it, at least.

Thank you so much for the quick responses! I figured it was a level issue since most of my findings were pointing at the level of the sides being out of my range at the moment. Almost to 35 and I'll see how it goes...time to get punched in the face a bunch of times. Being a warrior is awesome!

It's much better to just move on with your MSQ at this point. You'll unlock the Lv32 dungeon very soon and the Lv34 Titan trial after that. It won't be too much longer until the story sends you to Coerthas anyway.

To add on what was already said, additional side quests will only unlock once you have completed certain main story quests. Since your opening post is cheese related, you are on a level 32 quest. The Coerthas side quests will unlock once you progress with the main story in that area (starts at 35 after certain events happen.)

Some additional quests will unlock with MSQ but a large amount simply unlock according to your character's highest level.

Yeah, had to look it up myself to be sure. Seems like expansions mostly work that way, side quests unlocked when MSQ brings you to new area. But, at least those I looked at, ARR simply operated on level unlocks.
