SSD on the classic/slim isn’t so useful as the hdd interface is connected internally to the USB bus. The Pro has a native sata controller so adding a ssd makes sense and is a huge improvement.

I have an SSD in my old standard PS4 and it is a huge improvement.
Loading times are much shorter and NPCs load instantly even when a lot of people are around, especially the retainers when summoning them in Limsa lower decks.
This article is from over three years ago and talks about what I was referring to. (The article also talks about the free upgrade from the PS3 version to PS4)I was taking about higher quality settings on the Pro but I could be wrong it's been awhile.

When they added PS4 support, they added the option to turn on increased graphical quality. The main image I remember from the live letter was showing things like increased reflectivity on shiny wood floors, and it as an opt-in at the time. If they added more settings for the pro, I must have missed it.
