eh thats like me saying i quit wow because its elf craft and not warcraft lol
Yesh, I know we can be a little much to handle.
well first off in ff2- your orphans basicly kids so ya theres check one ... check 2- ff9 you got not only 1 but 2 character who in this fantasy game would be lalafell's check 3- dwarfs don't just live in volcanos lol ff9 again - they live in a desert so ya... (ff dwarfs have always been weird) but lalafell's are dwarfs shadowbrings states this itself...
4th-ffxi they existed but were called tataru (idk why they changed this) but ya they have existed just because of stupid sjw's they had to create a race that could look like and be true to the classic final fantasy mages(which were mostly children tbh) while giving them "adult" attributes for the race lol
not even counting the rat people-the quina-the drones-the ronso-the al-bed and many other final fantasy races like garu ... ff has always and always will have weird and unique races lol
Its a fantasy ...
also starting to think your not a person ^.^
Vivi is not a Lalafell he's a robot, also zidane is a monkey none of them are Lalafellswell first off in ff2- your orphans basicly kids so ya theres check one ... check 2- ff9 you got not only 1 but 2 character who in this fantasy game would be lalafell's check 3- dwarfs don't just live in volcanos lol ff9 again - they live in a desert so ya... The tarutaru in ff11 are not Lalafells either they have very big eyes and are more like little monkeys
Do other races get this kind of negative attention? Maybe I'm not seeing the same degree of negativity towards other races or players of other races, since I'm always a Lalafell and partial to Lalalfell. I've seen a few negative people towards "catgirls" or "catboys" about Miqo'te. And some sexist people who say that say Female Roegadyn don't look "feminine" enough. But not to the degree of Lalafell. It's really disheartening.
Lalafell are something that have really drawn me to the world. Along with the incredible lorebuilding of Final Fantasy Online. There are plenty of other MMORPGs with small or cute races. But none of them has impressed me with the attention to worldbuilding and crafting interesting world deserving of the name Final Fantasy, as Final Fantasy XI and XIV. Have been a staple of roleplaying games since halflings of Dungeons and Dragons, which was more likely than not inspired by Lord of the Rings Hobbits. Lalafell are also known as, and look like Dwarves, a very fitting traditional Fantasy race.
As a long time Final Fantasy player, while I played as a Mithra in XI. I was drawn to the game, and Windurst, because of how sympathetic and emotional the scene of Tarutaru Black Mages defending Tavnazia from the Shadow Lord's beastmen hordes. Ever since then, I've dreamed of a sandbox setting that let me defend citizens and innocents and stone walls from an incoming evil threat. It was such an emotional moment, seeing these cute Tarutaru give their all in summoning spells to save a city and save lives, with all their magical strength. The despair on their faces, I've always wanted to feel like that kind of hero. That I could give my all to save a city like that, and if I failed, the city would fall forever, and there would be consequences.
I've yet to ever experience something so dynamic and immersive yet. But Final Fantasy XI was so a wonderful game, my first MMORPG. And such a meaningful experience. And that trailer and Tarutaru fighting to save Tavnazia stuck with me forever. It's why I started in Windurst.
And liking that legacy and these designs is what made me so excited to play Final Fantasy XIV when 1.0 came out. I saw a video from Youtube user "MrPlainfolk" of an adorable Plainsfolk girl running around the city, and I knew I had to play Final Fantasy XIV. Even though everyone was leaving the game, and I was called a Final Fantasy fangirl for wanting to play the game so many other people disliked. Being a Lalafell Thaumaturge and exploring the Black Shroud like the Lost Woods, was something that kept me pushing forward. And if I had a time machine, I would go back in time to do more of it. It's not Final Fantasy Online without Lalafell. And they did a great job of adapting Tarutaru to a modern MMORPG with modern graphics. Enough so that I was excited to move on from a Mithra player to a Lalafell player.
Nanamo is a great character. And that first scene doesn't portray how great her personality is at all. The fanbase is full of people who call Lalafell evil, because of the greed of some Monetarists like Teledji. But Nanamo is a shining jewel in the desert, and my favourite character. She loves and empathizes with her citizens, recognizes her own privilege, and loves her people so much that she would be willing to part with it. Her empathy is radiant.
And honestly, I just can't understand how anyone could feel this way. I couldn't imagine enjoying Final Fantasy Online without Tarutaru or Lalafell.

I knew who the OP would be even before opening the thread.... You are on a roll.
Now go to sleep and leave the bottle alone.
