All DPS clears highlight a problem with encounter design in ShB

Are a lot of teams clearing with only one healer already? Is it already the standard?
Genuinely asking, just did Ramuh here.

It's not even "the standard" to solo heal Innocence EX yet.

I found the heal checks for Eden a lot tougher than Omega, honestly. Neo Exdeath really only had Almagest to his name as there’s barely any healing outside of it (which was like 70% of the fight), and God Kefka’s Heartless Angel wasn’t a very well-received heal check mechanic (and any White Hole variants lol). They could do more to flesh out healer DPS kits to make ‘em more interesting, but Eden definitely isn’t slacking compared to older raids. Maybe you’re just getting better at the game, OP?

Actually, I think it is. Saw a bunch of solo heal parties this past week. With current gear, any healer can pretty much solo heal the fight.

And it never will be, because FF logs won't rank nonstandard compositions in its main rankings.

But that doesn't really change how easy healing requirements have become.

If this is talking about the all dps clear of Copied Factory, here have been all tank and all healer clears of it previously. The same is true of the Heavensward and Stormblood Alliances when they were current. Casual content is not a good metric of anything really.

It's more an overall design philosophy disconnect with the devs. What's hilarious is even when they said healing would be more intensive (this was just before ShB launched) it actually became even lighter. Personally, I think its because they design everything on a casual level first and then bump everything up maybe 70% for Savage content.

Yes, but it's always been known the DPS checks are absurdly easy. Nonetheless, easy DPS checks doesn't impact a DPS job's rotation.

Exceptionally low healing requirements mean healers don't get to use the majority of their kit and are stuck with mostly spamming 1 button.

Also, I don't recall any DPS-only clears of Orbonne when it was current. If there's a video of it somewhere (or at least a screenshot), I'd love to see it. Now 7-DPS 1-healer clears were a thing sometimes, that I do know...

- anyway. I basically agree. I'm just pointing out how low the requirements are across the spectrum.
