Next healer class released should be

Chemist should be the next healer class released. Can make the potions, buff potions, debuff potions, etc as skills instead of actual items or you can make them be used from your inventory via items you made from alchemy(would give an excuse for me to wanna lvl alchemy really quick honestly )

Chemist to me makes a lot of sense as a healer as it was a good support class in FFT.

It's my dream to see Chemist end up as the next healer. At this point however I'm worried as to whether or not there ever will be another one given SE's constant issues/ineptitude with balancing the healing roles.

id prefer it being Mascot or something that isn't a low tier like chemist tbh ... Chemist is like pointless after you unlock the white and black mages

I can pretty much guarantee it won't use items from Alchemy in a literal sense, ranged physical DPS don't have ammo for the same reason. I'm really doubtful too unless they lean much more on Alchemist as opposed to Chemist in terms of aesthetics and such as whatever we get will be a mage of some sort.

At the risk of ridicule, I think the next healer down the road is Geomancer. The game hints at the job in several places. The Astrologian quests, the dungeon "The Swallow's Compass", and the Peacock mount they recently introduced. I'm sure there are other subtle hints I'm not pointing out, like Gosetsu and other subtle nods. Considering FFXIV's take on Geomancers being Healers, I deduce that if a new healing job were to be developed, I'd stake my bet on GEO.

OP, please define "should."
I'm not sure I follow why you feel chemist "should" be the next healer over the plethora of other options. You just kinda described what you feel it could bring to the table.

I can see where the thoughts for healer can come in, but what about the Swallow's Compass dungeon says "healer"? I wouldn't quite say "14s take on Geomancer being healer" so much as it can equally be seen as a caster like it has been in the rest of the series. I would say if anything, if they meant for Geo to be a healer Swallows Compass and Seiryu would be more healer focused opposed to having nothing in the trial or dungeon being healing related. As well as the founder of Geomancy, Ganen, was not know as a healer but a warlord and conqueror.

I know my view on the Ast story quests aren't a common thought, but why would a healer need us, a fellow healer, to come heal for them. It never says that Kyo is weak or bad at Geomancy, in fact he is quite good at it (or good enough to have school running in Kugane to teach new Geomancer currently. We have no instance or lore of them being a healer, outside placeholder CNJ animations for a story quest encounter. Which Yugiri also had in old story missions (not the same abilities, but a placeholder heal to get through the mission).

As for the topic of the thread:

With the Bozjan storyline available to us, if you dig through the leader's dialogue he talks about how he is a prominent Garlean Medic, who has now defected. I would assume medic would be this game's take on chemist and it wouldn't step on any toes thematically (why take water and wind off of white mage to give it to another healer?) He's also standing next to the npc that talks about Beastmaster being in the game.

That is a misconception. GEO is a part of the AST quest, and while the quests do make analogies between the two, GEOs are not healers. They are specifically stated to be protectors. Which could indicate a healer or tank, if implimented. Personally I want the later, since a tank GEO would be more interesting than a healer. But since we got GNB we might have a bit of a wait if that is to ever happen.

I also do not see why this could also not point towards a support caster. Since we we are due for a healer/caster this next expansion. And they are still adding stuff to the game hinting at the class.
