    So true Roda, at least also my imo, WoW does a good job, or at least better attempt at, representing the fantasy of what you are- beyond your good job/class examples there is also race fantasy being represented. I really, really, liked that aspect of WoW. To not derail the thread definitely should avoid talking about race fantasy lol, but I would love for SE to do a bunch of content just based on the fantasy of each job (as is basically the theme of this thread). Like why do dragoons take fall damage at all? Things that make you further believe and feel you are what you are, that breath through the whole job's existence.



    Can be combat related, but doesn't have to be, but if they can, super awesome. Or at minimum look hard at the concept if they are working on another mmo.

    God, don't get me started on racial fantasy. Been waiting since ARR for some in-game moonkeeper lore representation, and the best we've got is the heretic-tribe coeurl claws which is basically just a bunch of grey seekers.
    Finally go to alternate universe gridania to see some wood tribes and SE has gone and replaced us with bunny girls. (even though our lore was supposed to be XIV's version of them)
    I know duskwights are similarly struggling.

    Though I don't really want wow-style racials in the game. I don't think this game's universe can handle the comic-book cartoony abilities those characters get just for being born.*



    Back to the classes, I fear that bluemage's implementation might be SE's pained attempt at doing this kind of job fantasy.
    Unique interactions with the game world and content only accessable to them, at the cost of fluid rotation that feels even remotely decent to play and access to play the whole dang game as it was designed to be played.
