You may want to enable other languages too. I don't know how much of a difference it makes, but I think I've only encountered one other player not speaking English anyway, and it didn't affect the duty at all so it can't hurt either.
I don't talk about queuing into roulettes, of course that's fast, I am talking about queueing directly into Rabanastre, Dun Scaith, the easy mode trials of Sophia, Suzaku or Yojinbo. Content wich needs 8 or more people and are not part of the MSQ. These queues will take a long time and the roulettes, wich should help to fill those queues, are seemingly not enough anymore when more and more content gets added to them. It's not even a good troll response either, because I regularly play during NA off-peak hours, and can usually get into roulettes within about 10 minutes, even as a DPS. Maybe it's faster because I have most things unlocked? I suppose if you only unlocked LotA and no other alliance raids after that, I can see how the queue might take a long time.
I see TitanMen has made a new account.
Unfortunately I think it's one of those things that is a lot more widespread on the American data centres than the Japanese ones, so the dev team don't see it happening so much.I have waited (not actively, like doing things irl in range to hear the queue pop) more than an hour and a half to try to complete Ridorana and Rabanastre on my alt once I knew they would be necessary for the ShB relic. I play on NA and have just English enabled.
These queue times happen and it is due to ilvl cheese. It needs to go.
Add in the fact that even without that element, you're naturally going to have less people queuing who are eligible for the Lv70 raids than the Lv50 ones. If you assumed an even spread of people of various levels queuing, anyone at levels 50-69 isn't able to access Ivalice even if they wanted. That's two thirds of the roulette automatically ineligible, and likely to drag the last third down to their level. Assuming that third aren't the ones who are cheesing...
Everyone calling this a troll thread, yet this is exactly what Bungie are doing with Destiny 2. Luke Smith has said that removing old content will let them create more new and better content. Don't think a lot of people here really understand programming, and how whenever adding something new to the game, it could cause issues in content way back down the line, which they then have to spend time to fix.Deleting files yes, deleting content no. No, it would not give them more memory to work with.
You clearly have no clue whatsoever as to how game development works, and I don't feel like educating you, so I will just summarize by saying that deleting old content will not help the developers at all with creating new content.
Everytime an update is released in D2, many bugs find their way back in, and then the devs are having to waste time fixing them. The example they gave was that they had to spend time fixing bugs that had appeared in content that less than 0.5% of players had touched in the last 3 months. The more content that you add to games, the more scope there is for things to go wrong upon adding even more.
Yeah, but destiny 2 is even more of a mess imo because of that. Like, I went to go back to the game recently, and it was just a mess with stuff being all over the place and changed so much. You start a new character and it just throws you in randomly without giving you any ability to go through the intro. Immediately turned me off from it.Everyone calling this a troll thread, yet this is exactly what Bungie are doing with Destiny 2. He began his forum career years ago. This is just his comeback.
Lower ilvl sync on the old ARR 24 mans would be a start. Labrynth of the Ancients syncing down to 110/120 when the it should be ~ ilvl 60 (maybe 90 max) or so.I have an AUS friend who regularly encountered 1.5 hour queue times while trying to progress through Omega normal. I once waited 2.5 hours to get into one of the stormblood Alliance Raids. Even during off-peak hours, that's pretty excessive.
This issue seems to unsurprisingly affect ilevel-cheese prone duties like Normal Raids and Alliance Raids the most, so fixing that may be a reasonable place to start.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
This should no longer work? i though after a 10 min or smt the languages are ignored.
Yes i had the same issue with friends on shiva, during any time that isnt 17:00-18:00.I have an AUS friend who regularly encountered 1.5 hour queue times while trying to progress through Omega normal. Honestly if its too much work or they simply dont want to, to not upset ppl, then pls, just give us a roulett for each of the raids...
Honestly he has a point for guildheists and the same reasoning could be applied to battle guildleaves, people hardly do those and this content has been stale for years.
