Oh my lord. This thread is how you launched - and then sank - your forum career.
Dear, don't talk about MMO development, please, when you clearly haven't the foggiest notion of how even basic triggering, quest chains, and so on work.
They play on NA during offpeak hours, so I guess it's the 1%. Roulette's themselves aren't generally a problem, it's content in exploitable roulette's that rely on roulette groups to fill.99% chance they are on one of the Japanese data centres but didn't have their duty finder set to include Japanese. The queue times are awful if you're waiting on, ultimately, two eligible tanks and two healers from a minority language to be in the roulette at the same time.
Just because you may not do the old content, doesnt mean others dont. Or that new players coming in dont do it...
I for one consistently go back and replay old content (with the exception of PvP but only because I dont PvP)
But really, its already content they've created. There's nothing holding the dev team back in this regard. What is holding them back is COVID. So I guess if we want dev time to go back to normal we'd be better served by doing our part to slow its spread while we wait for better treatments.
I would actually like to see guildhests come back at max level as just short duties with some wacky situations or mechanics.
This is the only useful suggestion in this troll thread. If only we should ask for even more content. if noone plays guildhests then this is the way to make it relevant again and teach people some of the new mechanics.
Ok...
"Memory" isn't a problem, it doesn't hold anything back. It's in the game, it's done.
Removing content is not the same as just hitting the delete button. Very quest chain could reference that content, you'd have to rewrite NPC dialogue, recode quest chains with new requirements and unlocks, etc.
They are actually working on removing some content though, a bunch if fetch quests from ARR and the 2.x patch chain. Note the word "working", removing this content is costing dev time.
Deleting files yes, deleting content no. No, it would not give them more memory to work with.
You clearly have no clue whatsoever as to how game development works, and I don't feel like educating you, so I will just summarize by saying that deleting old content will not help the developers at all with creating new content.
Not sure how it was relevant that they're Australian then... unless that was meant to stand for something else. But anyway.
(Edit: Oh of course, because they're in an Australian timezone trying to queue on an American server that's half a day out of synch with them. Can't put that entirely down to the cheesers then.)

It's most likely not worth the effort of arguing logic.Deleting files yes, deleting content no. No, it would not give them more memory to work with.

It's not even a good troll response either, because I regularly play during NA off-peak hours, and can usually get into roulettes within about 10 minutes, even as a DPS. Maybe it's faster because I have most things unlocked? I suppose if you only unlocked LotA and no other alliance raids after that, I can see how the queue might take a long time.![]()
I have waited (not actively, like doing things irl in range to hear the queue pop) more than an hour and a half to try to complete Ridorana and Rabanastre on my alt once I knew they would be necessary for the ShB relic. I play on NA and have just English enabled.99% chance they are on one of the Japanese data centres but didn't have their duty finder set to include Japanese. The queue times are awful if you're waiting on, ultimately, two eligible tanks and two healers from a minority language to be in the roulette at the same time.
Levelling roulette ignores language settings, but everything else follows it.
The worst queue I have ever encountered (outside of misguided attempts to queue for EX trials) was a 40-minute wait to get into Orbonne when it wasn't current, and that's because my first queue came up unexpectedly quickly so I missed it.
These queue times happen and it is due to ilvl cheese. It needs to go.
